An issue- Masqueraders - Do You Love Me
Here's a scan of an original (demo). Issues are essential the same, but the writting is in red.- Records With Inherent Sound Faults
Had about 5 copies (at the same time) and they didn't, so at least one press up was ok. Had about 5 copies (at the same time) and they didn't, so at least one press up was ok.- Records With Inherent Sound Faults
channel drop: Globliters - The way you do New Sounds - Sweet memories Oddities: 7 seconds into Chasmeres - Showstopper, someone coughs! Arthur Willis - The hurting is over, about 3/4 of the way through you can hear a guitar string snap with a very audiable 'twang' Trivia: Gene Pitney - 24 hours from Tulsa, in the original recording, one of the guitar players loses his way and strums the strings rapidly to signal the fact; the producer liked it and incorporated it into the finished take (quite near the end, if you listen)- The 'b' Side's Good Too
Legends - Got to let you go now (b to Fear not) - Locket / Commercial is a nice soulful slower track- The 'b' Side's Good Too
Cashemeres - Don't let the door - Hem Ambers - Another love - Smash Soul Twins - Give the man a chance - Karen Derc Hotzog - Puppy love - Hamilton- Records With Inherent Sound Faults
I picked up 5 or 6 copies of The Nicky Newarkers - Woman in the US, when I got them home, Idiscovered they skipped in the same place (just before the vocal kicks in).- Records With Inherent Sound Faults
Gwen Owens was pressed twice, I've had both in my hands at the same time and the difference in the width of the grooves is apparent. The first press is the one with the higher volume, but unfortunatley some seem to have a problem with the grooves being too close at about 2/3 the way through, and hence are the ones that tended to skip at that point- Anyone Remember This One?
Moments' tracks, I think I'd go for 'Just Having your Love' Probably their best is (Ray Goodman & Brown -) I Gamble On Your Love (but then again the Controlers' version is just as good, if not better)- Anyone Remember This One?
Rod, I would have thought you'd have gone for 'Girls', but the version sung in French!- Anyone Remember This One?
What a tune! Happy memories of Cleethorpes.- Benny Troy Re-issue

The issues are blue. If you look at the yellow stripe you see DDJ - delite DJ, and in the pink stripe is says 'promotional' Many 70's boots are of the DJ copies because they were the same track (stereo / mono) and it saved having to pay for two different laquers, but they were given away by the fact that both sides were stereo, or bothmono e.g. Anderson Brothers- Benny Troy Re-issue
Original demos have a stereo recording on one side, mono on the other. They also have those anti-slip bumps arong the endge of the label. This looks like one of those UK boots that don't have a proper label i.e. the labels printed into the plastic, and the have had the typical UK small spindle hole removed by having a US style one punched out.- Heartbeat Tonight
No idea, never watched the programme. There's a celebrity singing contest on tonight, and from the next room I keep hearing this bass rift; if it's bugging anyone else as to what's from, it's the BAR-KAYS - Sexomatic. - Joannie Sommers
