  10. I'm sure I've read that Jimmy R was over in the UK in the 60's with a band touring at the time, but not performing as such.

    They should have stayed as the Primettes as they all got a chance on lead vocal; DR's voice is too nasal fro my liking. Their best recording is Love Is Like An Itching', one of the best songs ever written, but should have been given to someone else. However, turn it over and you'll find their best record 'He's All I Got' fooking fantastic. Thier version of the Bea's 'Dr Goldfoot & The Bikini Machine' is OK, for the film of same title. Must admit I do like 'When The Lovelight Starts Shining'. Plus their versions of 'Shake ME, Wake Me' & 'Just A Little Misunderstanding.
