Fair point, perhaps whoever posted on discogs dated 6/3/78, has one but the '8' is a wonky looking 6?

https://www.discogs.com/release/1450382-Fluorescent-Smogg-Little-Joe-All-My-Life The entry on Discogs states 'Produced by F. Smogg, date written on label 6-3-78 and initials jds' The date on JM's looks like the '6' is just a wonky 8 to me Sam sold it in 1989; the new owner let me tape it in Dec 89.

Interesting development of the scene?
First 360 degrees thread on SS? Anyway, load of old people, some of them under the influence of legal or not drugs, dancing around in their own little zone, not bumping into each other, enjoying life, happy, feeling the worse for it the next day. I think I'll patent it........... "East Midlands Soul" miserable sad old crate-diggers gits at the front , not joining in, "40 plus years I've been looking for a copy of Nosmo King......... there's one on JM's auction, vinyl is shagged, but the label is only showing hairlines under a 3000kw light bulb"

You'll like this.... not on drink or drugs..... my dog Tosh's , best friend is called Butch (no not Mark Dobson, either would be a daft name for a dog). His owner, Jean, went to the Gliderdrome and saw a young lad called Stevland Hardaway Morris who came on and did, or pretend to, trip over the microphone cord, saying 'sorry i didn't see that there'!

A tad harsh post, that Karl. My missus, enjoys going the the 'handbagger and div events' I'm sure next time she comes back from one she'll appreciates the fooking good clonking I'll give her for going out, spending her hard earned money, dancing, singing, whatever next? Care to pick her out from the video? There's two 'traditionalists' handbagers to the far left, one of whom is holding a handbag, they are my nieces. Well, i say traditionalist, but they say they have never chugged down on Butch's 3" acetate.- Interesting development of the scene?
what a fantastic post- Interesting development of the scene?
Dr Sadot When you next pop in, could you please point me in the direction of a complete posting of 'Once Upon A Time In Wigan'. I've seen various snippets and am assuming the whole thing does exist? TIA PS a PM a will do, if you want to 'Sonny and share'- JMAuction - 27/04/2022 - Results!

- It's what's in the groove that counts...or is it?
labels must be more important to some buyers than the vinyl - just go to auction sites and look about the 'condition' descriptions, labels condition seems to prevail nowadays. i was one looking through some sales boxes and the seller was extolling the condition of the label on a knackered record to a potential punter who retorted "yeah, but i don't want to play the f***ing label, do i?- JMAuction - 27/04/2022 - Results!

I seem to remember there was a Phillipe on here who was knowledgeable of French music scenes. To be honest, over the years of half-hardheartedly selling it, most interest was from France 'buyers' all of which were mal-au-cul- Good Films/documentaries About Soul, R&b..e.t.c

Only asking because when trying to sell 'boogie' titles is like pulling teeth! Anyone care to value Jerry Hoyle - Quit Running - ENL Records 12" for me?- What more can a boy ask for

Any 'boogie' experts on here? Or anyone point me to one / forums etc. TIA- Sending records from UK
swings & roundabouts isn't? if the true value of the record is £1000 but when you're asked at the PO its value is stated to be £10, the postage will be less, but coverage for loss / damage will be for the lower value. Like all 'insurance' if something goes wrong, you might not get near to 100% compensation. If a buyer is paying top dollar for a record they've spent years tracking down, the import duty might not be problem in the grand scheme of things, I'd consult the buyer.- Pressing Plant 'records'
They must have existed at some time, and so I was just wondering if anyone has seen the records from pressing plants of what records they manufactured and in particular, the numbers made, standard run count etc. - Interesting development of the scene?
