Ah, but wasn't that the US release that you frisbeed across the room?
  2. I think this is pretty dire. I'm fortunate that I haven't heard it played out, I only have it on the Saracens 5th Anniversary CD. Jimmy Ricks - Bad Man Of Missouri

I'll be interested to see how much this goes for, Gene. I've had a copy of this for quite some while, paid a couple of quid for it years ago. Also mine hasn't got an enlarged hole!
  4. Now that's funny!
  5. Only just purchased a copy of this last week, I think it's excellent.
  6. Any chance of a track listing or scan of the cover, thanks.
  7. I bought a copy of this off a certain Mr Higgins from Sheffield, one night at the 100 Club. He remarked that the label without "Tomorrows Hits Today" was the rarer label, can anyone else confirm this?
  8. With the following in the description, I would have guessed that this was dodgy. ARTIST........ ROY HAMILTON TITLE .......LET THE MUSIC PLAY / YOU BELONG TO MY HEART LABEL......KENT SOUL.....KT-962......PROMO COPY....RE-ISSUE......

How many more times can basically the same compilation CD be repackaged? I only ask because I saw this review in The Metro (free paper on trains in London area) yesterday.

  13. There you go, I answered that without even mooving my lips.
  14. Adey pierce has a couple of these, both have a different B side. Mind you I think this was released 3 different times? Cotswold Records
  15. I do enjoy looking through other mates records, probably more so than dealers boxes. The reason being that they've nearly always got records that you don't, or they seem to have records that you've recently seen on dealers lists. So this way instead of buying something blind you can listen to the record to form your own opinion, as to whether somethings worth buying or not. Does this make sense or am I just rambling again? I congratulate those who've got 1000+ records, not for the value, but for having somewhere to store them without the wife moaning about them!
  16. I'm just interested to see how many records people have in their collections. Instead of just asking, thought it would be easier to do a poll. This is not to advertise peoples collections to unwanted attention.
  17. I've got PULL on mine, sometimes reads PROPERTY OF HAMMERSMITH AND FULHAM DISTRICT COUNCIL.
  18. I actually met him one day whilst working at Richmond station. He asked me how to get to Teddington (for TV studios), I recognised the face but couldn't put a name to it. Anyway I said he looked familiar and asked him his name, when he said Rico, you could've knocked me down with a feather. I asked him if I could shake his hand, just wish I had a record with me for him to sign. I spent the rest of the day telling everybody about who I'd met, to which they all replied "who?" Bloody phillistines!
  19. Surely this statement should end in a question mark (?) and not a full stop(.).
  20. To be honest I prefer it by Major Lance.
  21. Got both of these, Playgirl's Love & Change Of Pace, and both worth buying blind.

Found it Dave! >> Click Here <<
  23. Why moan about over efficious door staff, when on another topic people were moaning about drunks at do's? As for the fire regulations, I'd rather they put the customers (already inside) safety first, than that of people queuing up outside. The doorstaff at the Castle Soul Club were very good, mind you I think she's a soulie.
  24. I bought a record off Ady C once.
  25. Went out this afternoon and come home with the following LP in exchange for £4. Motown Disco Classics Vol. 3 (STML 11227) Side One You Keep Me Hanging On - Diana Ross & The Supremes Baby I've Got It - Jimmy Ruffin Just A Little Misunderstanding - The Contours Danger Heartbreak Dead Ahead - The Marvelettes Tell Me It's Just A Rumour Baby - The Isley Brothers Starting The Hurt All Over Again - Brenda Holloway How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You) - Marvin Gaye Heatwave - Martha Reeves & The Vandellas Side Two Night Fo' Last (Instrumental) - Shorty Long Ain't Too Proud To Beg - The Temptations He Was Really Saying Somethin' - The Velvelettes Shoot Your Shot - JR. Walker & The Allstars 25 Miles - Edwin Starr Destination: Anywhere - The Marvelettes I Got A Feeling - Barbara Randolph Friendship Train - Gladys Knight & The Pips Theres no gaps between tracks so they just go straight into one another. Anyway this got me wondering about all those Motown Compilation albums that must've been released. We've probably all got some somewhere, so which ones do you like or which ones would you like?
