I'm hoping to be going. I'm trying to squirrel some money away so that I can go. Unfortunately, Mikey I don't intend driving, well not at the moment anyway. If you need to get the train home, can't you get a cheap advance purchase ticket for the Sunday morning from Paddington? Hopefully though, someone will be able to give you a lift.
  2. If this is the going rate, then I was lucky to get a copy for £3 from a secondhand record shop recently. Also, why is it everytime I see lists like this I'm always skint?!

I'm hoping to get one of the large posters advertising it at the train station where I work.

There's a copy for sale on Ebay at the moment. As it's heading above my limit thought I'd share it with you all. >> copy 4 sale <<
  5. True you're never gonna please everybody. As for DJ's who have paid mega bucks not to be compromised, who's to say they haven't paid mega bucks for a load of old shite? As for educators you don't have to just pay mega bucks, I've been educated on a lot of cheapies, Lorraine Randolph - Keep Coming Back For More & The Voicemasters - If A Woman Catches A Fool, to name just 2!
  6. oh you meant a list of albums not tracks, how foolish do I feel! :fool: Side One 1. Take Me In Your Arms And Love Me 2. Do You Love Me Just A Little Honey 3. That's The Way Love Is 4. 7. I've got a copy of "The Fabulous Gladys Knight & The Pips" on MFP 50304. On the cover it says, Music For Pleasure Sounds Superb, is this the same series?
  8. I had a go at doing my own night. Attendance wise it was very disappointing (that's an understatement ), however I enjoyed myself playing whatever records I liked and I had a couple of people dancing. Jamie's last statement is very true, just enjoy!

    oops wrong topic
  10. Welcome back, Pete.
  11. I saw a demo go through Ebay yesterday for about £57, and the seller mentioned the one on Manships site.
  12. Yes he bought it from someone in Sheffield.
  13. I bet my father-in-law wished he had private feedback. At least he would, if he knew I could see the blue movies he's been buying whilst his wife is visiting us!
  14. I'm just bumping this up , as I still don't know how much it ended on. Does anybody know?

  16. One other thing, how much does an issue copy go for?
  17. I bought this a couple of years ago for about $6 off ebay. A little while after I saw a copy go through John Manship's auction for £70+, I realise this isn't always a true reflection of value. I'd just like to know what it's worth now, as I'm wondering about selling it.
  18. Today I bought a copy of this at a car boot sale at Wetherby racecourse for a quid. Anyway what I'm after is does anyone know how much the copy ended up for last week on Manships auction. The last I knew it was £127. I am only interested in the price as I want to wind my mate up who was with me when I bought it. I was a bit peeved before today as I had seen a copy go through Ebay unsold at a starting price of £30. So when I saw Manship had a copy on his auction, I thought I'd missed yet another bargain again! I only discovered this tune when searching for a copy of I'm Still Loving You on Ebay. The price of which frightens me on there.
  19. I think it's great! As for dancing to it, I don't dance to anything, so it doesn't matter to me!

Last time I saw it was on Manships site for £30!
  21. Last Sunday I bought a copy of Martha Reeves & The Vandellas - Forget Me Not (TMG 762), for the princely some of 30p at Ascot car boot sale. After returning home I was pleasantly surprised when I played the B side and discovered, I Gotta Let You Go. Another B side that I prefer to the A side is Marv Johnson's You Got The Love I Love, being on the other side of I'll Pick A Rose (TMG 680) Are there any Tamla Motown records, where you prefer the B side as opposed to the A side, if so which ones?
  22. I would have said you was an expert, take a look at this copy on Ebay.
