No mention of Dancers, just Collectors? So each venue wouldn't require a dancefloor then, just a record player in the corner by the dealers?

How did we (well you lot, this is my first post on this topic) get from extolling the virtues of Grapevine 2000 releases to swearing at one another? All have agreed that they were great releases, so can we just leave the old original/reissue/bootleg arguments alone? Thought that old chestnut had been laid to rest and we'd all agreed to disagree on the matter (believe a poll was done!). Now just shake hands and apologise to one another, please.
  5. You having a Blonde moment?
  6. Does anyone remember the following? I remember getting on a music mag (NME or Sounds or something else) in the 80's two cassettes. One was Pogo-a-Gogo a punk/new wave compilation, the other was Kent-a-Gogo. Which was a compilation of tracks from the Kent albums, I distinctly remember it had Your Little Sister - The Marvelows(?) on it. Was this the only time Kent released anything on cassette? I lent them both to my mate, never to see them again!
  7. I can't believe it's up to £60 already! I'll keep my Tamla Motown copy with the extra 2 seconds, thanks.

    She should've gone to Specsavers!
  9. Surely, you meant The Invitations?
  10. Top album, one of my favs was Dancing 'Til Dawn!
  11. I'm waiting for a record to arrive from USA (yet another Ebay purchase), which I have purchased blind. The record is: Linda Carr - Baby Are You Puttin' Me On (DCP Promo), bought blindly cause of the names Randazzo & Hart on the label. I checked Manship's site he's got a copy for £20, mines costing £7 including postage. So I figured even if it's not to my taste it's only cost me £7 not £20 (+postage)! The thing is there are thousands of original singles out there, but I'm never going to hear them all, whether that's on the internet or out at do's. As a result we all buy blindly on occasions, I was just sat here wondering, what you bought blind that either turned out to be great or utter garbage? I just thought it might make an interesting topic.

I listened to this on Soul Club the other day, I'm sure it's got the same backing as another track. Problem is I can't think what, does anyone know what the other track is, please?

To the seller with negative feedback whoever he (or she is), If mayfairmenthol wins the auction, don't forget don't send the item listed! He really wants an old computer monitor, a dressing gown & slippers sent to him! PS. Don't forget to put an extra £1 on the postage to take it to the Post Office!

Last time I saw Blodwyn was in St. Aloyious before January's 100 Club with someone trying to remove something from his head (possible batteries)!

Is that Janine holding it up in the listing? Jamie, size of T-shirt may help!

I have just bid it up to £10.51. I won't bid anymore as not being a member of the SSCDT, I'd feel a fraud owning it!
  19. Jamie, Surely your last post should have read: 23:59:59 on the 31st December 1969 or 00:00:00 on the 1st January 1970 Pete, if you get another copy for a quid, I'll double your money and buy it off you for £2, but I won't pay you £2.50 for postage!
  20. My mate at work, Alex Owusu, gave me a DVD copy of the Dave Chappelle Show in America. Now that's funny! He does a sketch as Nat King Cole, as an early day rapper, showering champagne over his bitch! Mind you that's tame compared to his "Blind Black White Supremacist" Sketch!
  21. There's a small clip on John Manships site. >>Click Here<<
  22. Thanks to Billytheboot & whoever was the other person that emailed it to me. Just listening to it now. As for Try Me, I got that after asking for cheap originals as well.
  23. Is there any chance someone can post it in the media gallery? I never seem to have a problem listening to stuff there.
  24. That's what I tried. I still can't get it to play! Oh well, I'll just have to buy the record. Thanks for posting it anyway.
