Protest Songs aren't ideally suited to to the northern soul genre, which could at times be simplified down to "she loves me/she loves me not" But are there any good 60s stomper protest songs? Please no mention of James Coit Appreciate there are loads of 70s with maybe Al Wilson - Be Concerned right near the top for me. Al doing some sterling work making up for past misdemeanours? Surprised to see Clifton Hall doing quite well. A venue that I haven't got a clue about. Be interested to hear a bit more about it. Maybe it a 'Clifton hall' thread would make a good read?

I did think about putting Yate in, but Yate was no more important that say Peterborough, Coalville etc. To include them all would have sort of diluted the poll.
