  9. Yes, I can see it going down well at RnB nights and I must admit it certainly has a bit of 'get up & go' But, would be mortified to here at a soul night.
  10. I'll bet most people will remember The Real Thing. But few will know this...
  11. No! Use a bit of Solomon's wisdom, chop it in half with an axe.
  12. I'm not hearing any soul content whatsoever. Sounds like a cartoon out-take.
  13. Yeah, that would appear to be the problem.... Loads of nervous energy. I think I was the original ADHD kid. Col. Winnie - point taken!
  14. That pic is enough to put you off. Would you really want to buy frozen foods from a man who likes like he's been embalmed?
  15. Its been pointed out, that no matter who I go with, they won't see me for the rest of the night.......
  16. Dells - All About The Paper All 7.15 minutes of it
  17. Stormy Winters - Life Saver Gives me a massive lift.
  18. Yes, this record was often referred to as the 'fourth before eight'
  19. Sorry, should just stress my interest in a label is currently hypothetical. But its something I would love to do.
  20. Not heard of Vinyl Carvers, whats the angle there?
  21. Yes, appreciate that. Working as always, on the basis that if you throw enough mud at the wall some of it will stick
  22. I've recently been giving some thought to the economics of running a small, legal record company, something along the lines of Joe Boy, Grapevine 2000 & Hayley etc Assuming that you can purchase the rights to a track at reasonable cost, find a pressing plant interested, how difficult is to get a distribution deal? What length of run would you be looking at to reach a break even point & is there an average run? I'm assuming that the economics in the long term don't stack up. Thanks for looking. Col.
  23. Totally agree there Baz. Bad news sells.
