At times like these I often look to The Simpsons for inspiration. The following line comes to mind: Leprechaun (to Ralph):"Aw, you've done grand, laddie! Now you know what you have to do: Burn the house down. Burn 'em all!" Hope I've been of some help. Col

  5. I thought I did. But then I guess I didn't.
  6. 6 bids - £22 It just flys in the face of reason.
  7. hypothetical question - a mate does a CD compilation for you.......do you accept it?.......bearing in mind the above......or do you politely return it?
  8. If you don't know it, consider yourself quite lucky.
  9. Certainly is - if we are talking about the group that recorded You Can't Mean It. What a load of drivel.
  10. Pop masquerading as soul How about everything ever recorded by Brenton Wood? Col - But i do love that "Two Time Loser"
  11. Wouldn't read too much into it. Ans. is actually in the thread "It has became a task and for me isn't enjoyment or fun anymore." Col.
  12. Hi Steve Are you the main guy in the pic? Col
  13. First venue on there looks like the old Scenesville Bldg, just off Oxford St.
  14. Not that I was there, but the film seems to capture the whole madness of the event, which due to cancellations appeared to last almost 2 months. I particularly liked the white concert promoter, who appeared to be completely out of it.
  15. When We Were Kings - Sky Movies just finished watching it on sky movies - so bound to be repeated soon oscar winning docu/film about Ali/Foreman fight in Zaire. loads of really good & unusual music footage - James Brown. BB King also interesting from a 70s sociological point of view col.
  16. To a bloke in Thailand.........how do I know these things?
  17. Hi Steve, I was doing a search on a completly un-related subject & came across this site https://www.loveshack.org/forums/index.php Its for sensitive souls & covers relationships and stuff like that Thought it might give you a laugh Col
  18. Thanks for that. Mate has been strictly northern soul up to now. Its good when people suddenly drop their barriers and discover it didn't all stop in 69. Col.
  19. Not too sure but ans to original post, but one thing that makes me smiles is when you get a couple of lads on the dance floor arms stretched out belting out the lyrics to Jan Jones "Im an independent woman, anything you want to do boy its alright with me!" It just tickles me. But its ok when I do it! Col.
  20. Nah, stick around. Enjoyed reading your comments, mostly a load of old tosh, but still enjoyable to read. As mentioned before I enjoy the site, but would like to see more prople active on it. I don't know if the odd expletive would put some one off or not. I put a record up for people to comment on the other day and was interested in whether people liked it or not. 40 downloads & not one comment on it - well only by Ian and he doesn't have a sound card! Thats the issue for me - how to get more people contributing comments. Not the odd expletive. Col.
  21. Posting this for a mate. Any ideas on artist, title or availability? Cheers Col.
  22. Dunno that one. But i do like 'Where's Spot?' Yes, whatever big boy. Going back to Steve's orig point, all I'd say is that I put a premium on my spare time. When it comes to music, I appreciate knowing if its top notch and whats f***ing crap. After a while you get to appreciate who's got similar tastes. Thts how it works for me.
  23. He was doing very well, without your help!
  24. Your reply was both witty & informative. It just shows what you can do, when you really put your mind to it Steve! Keep up the good work. Col. ps You read me like a book
