Yeah Paul's right, more then 1 a month on ebay now, Shrine stuff not quite as rare as we thought eh !! Ian.
  2. I would think the rarest ones are these coloured vinyl Eddie foster boots, especially the 4 coloured vinyl ones of which there was only meant to be 4 copys ever made, i have been offered £180 for a blue vinyl copy . Also the 4 coloured vinyl copy bootleg of Manifesto must be pretty hard to find now. Only ever seen 1 copy and belongs to Stu Bower. Ian.
  3. what would be a decent valuation of the above ? have seen quite a few copys lately and they seem to sell at very different amounts for similar conditions Just what it is worth ? Ian.
  4. does anyone know or remember Mick from Wigan days, he lived in Lytham, think it was Norfolk rd or drive. last i knew he was working in top shop in Blackpool but that was a long long time ago Any info about an old mate would be nice or just that he,s ok and working hard lol Ian.
  5. Brothers Italian issue now sold.
  6. was told recently a guy paid £200 for the WDJ End boot of Lenny Curtis, anyone else hear this ?? what is it really worth as a 70's bootleg and when did you last see one ? (didn't they play with hiss all through ?) Ian.
  7. Opals now gone, cheers BBB lol
  8. Fantastic stuff, love seeing things like this !! Dave Flynn is your man if you want Jap pic sleeves Ian.
  9. most of them are worth £2/£5 at best in my book but some are starting to command decent money ! I recently bought the WDJ boot of baby don't you weep for a fiver at a soul night, on ebay the next morning it fetched £32, boots of Eddie Parker - I,m gone i bet will fetch good money on ebay now that an original has sold in public view for a decent amount !!! Supply and demand still in force on bootlegs even today !! Ian.
  10. Just been quoted $70 to post a $60 record to UK !!! $130 total !!! so a £30 record has jumped to a £65 one !! Errr no thanks mate, i'll pass on that !! come on Pete Johnny S worth at least £30 in my book

It had a re launch not so long ago, i was in Dave Raistricks coffe shop in Smeggy and he was giving it away, they had sent him loads of copys to pass around to try and get it back in circulation. I read the last 4 issues cover to cover and have to admit it was crap, probably less then a small paragraph on Northern Soul, very disapointing from what it was to a lot of us in the 70's. Sad loss. Ian.
  13. excellent post mark, have noticed this to, also it seems that people will buy and pay higher prices of people like your good selve ie; fab peps £40 cant give mine away for £30, also noticed marvellos £100 ive had an issue for sale for ages £50 why? is it because you are known? just a observation mate strange thing this record collecting lol. cheers russ Russ, It's just down to you being an ugly c@@t I am selling most of my records over next few months, just to finance the purchase of more Lambretta's , can't see the value of them going higher any more and as said on here it,s getting bloody hard to sell the same old same that with the electronic age everybody must have them by now !!
  14. may well be a SA issue as all writing is english !!, got it off Pat Brady a while ago and he wasn't sure either !!!

Yes mate, course it is probably bid on it meself later Ian.
  18. Don't think you missed out John i reckon it is only a label filler but as i have a few copys it wouldn't hurt to find out lol Need to pop and see you to pay and collect the 2 from the drop down auctions !! Ian.
  19. There was one on the site @ £8.00 about 2 minutes ago.. Never thought it was anything but label filler..I'm off to play it again.. I got one off you a while back John for £8, we did speak about it briefly, you did say it was just a label filler but try asking PB i,m sure he sold his a lot higher and he sold all of em !! someone told me Tim brown was looking for copys a while back ??

result Still not as nice as an Okeh WDJ !! Ian.
  21. I know it,s in JM's book at a tenner, but didn't Pat Brady have some copys a while back at a lot more. have seen it in a box at £200 cash or £250 swaps some years ago, Think it,s demo only ?? Not the best sound in the world but is it hard or not ?? anybody know owt ?? Ian.
  22. I can remember the Friendship club in Colwyn bay in the early 70's, Me and Gaz jones used to DJ there !! Ahh the good old days when you could get away with playing the same record 3 times in an hours set , try that these days !!! Gaz went on to DJ at the Pier a few times, i joined HM Forces in 78 so left the N. Wales scene, ended up in Yorkshire for my 1st posting and met a Mechanic at the camp who i knew from the Casino, he had a car so we drove to Wigan every weekend for a couple of years , which was nice . I can remember being back in Llandudno in the early 90,s and going to a soul night in Deganwy castle, and another time i was back visiting my folks i went to a soul night in a hotel down from the cinema on opposite side, a nice room downstairs in the hotel, was a good night, not sure who ran them tho !! I see Brian Rae and Katy Brown every month in Peterborough and we always have a chat about them old days in N. Wales, Had a shout off Pete Morgan and Steve Mochan recently too and i still buy records off Mark Speakman and just bought that Beach Music book off him, used to see Hartley too but he don't come over here any more, i recently sold some Shrine stuff to an 18 year girl from Holyhead who's dad used to go to Wigan with the rest of the N wales crowd in the 70's, that train used to have a great buzz, with Bazz Nutter, gary and Anne Davis from Holyhead, the Llandudno girls, the bay lot, the Abergele and Rhyl crowd, big geoff from Prestatyn etc, what a great times eh !! Anyone else remember this lot ?? Ian.
