Last one I saw on here in the last twelve months went quickly (£70 plus post). Someone mentioned that John Manship had one at £100 to someone who had missed it (and he did have one as I checked) The day after John had sold his copy. One of those records that was not played at Wigan oldies nights but late seventies and early eighties. I was there. Dunc

Friendly People - "I ain't got nothing but the Blues" - VMP Vocal and Instrumental. This was a big dancefloor filler in the mid Eighties. The label is off centre as most of these were. The vinyl is nice and shiny and clear from any scratches and plays loud and very clear £70 payment by cash or postal order preferred, will include postage to UK if payment by this method. Not selling outside the UK (Sorry!) PM me or ring 0788 4260011 (based near Whalley Lancs) Be quick though! Dunc
  11. The Yellow ones could have been the demos. Yellow was popular for demo labels at the time. My Trans American is Yellow and has all the same marks as the orange one (did not notice any other difference) The Matrix mark is the same and the sound quality is exceptional. Dunc
  12. Check out anything on the London label BAF. I have one by Ray Pereira (or something like that) and the B side is called 'Hey Chick' It's another version of Judge Baby I'm Back but with different vocals. There is a soundclip in the refosoul library. Not brill, but not done in a reggae style. This label may have put out reggae on one side and soul on the other. Worth a shot Dunc

There is one guy from the States offering Sam Dees on eBay on a very regular basis. He must have a box full of them. So keep looking He is very clever and does not flood the market with them, he just adds one every now and then. Dunc
  14. No Worries with this guy (He is called Dave). Have bought off ebay from him and he was excellent to deal with. The MCA/RCA thing, I am sure would have been just a slight error. Dunc
  15. Hi Steve Bought from a mate of mine, Russ Coe, who was a regurlar at Wigan on the Saturday night do's towards the end. He then carried on to go to Stafford, but people seem to have given him the name Rosco in their books!!! I have never seen the LP for sale and the other track sounds like the same backing to an Edwin Starr single but with different words. Dunc
  16. Get Away From Me Girl - willie & the mighty magnificents - all platinum (lp track) 16024 refosoul Not sure if this ia available on a 45. But a great track nevertheless. Have just recorded it from the LP "Very Soulfull" Another from this group to look for and one of two good tracks on the Lp. This track was played at late wigan do's. Dunc

Sounds like The Rascals or Young Rascals who made stuff on atlantic dunc
  21. Back to the topic. We may be forgetting how old these records are. 40 yrs? Vg should be still sound OK but with some background. There's loads of stuff on ebay from the US like this, but it usually shows on the label scan. The Pookie Hudson 45s keep showing this up and I would leave them alone, but people keep buying them. Is this our own fault? Dunc
  22. Hi Dave (djr) Yes I did buy the Eddie Miller 45. I did not know that you were a registered user on here but I would like to point out to all the UK guys on here that Dave goes under the name on EBaY as fonkysoul. I won the record and sent him payment. The day that he received it he sent me an email to verify (great service). Six days later (which is quick for the US) it arrived and in great shape. His grading is good and far more reserved than the topic here. I would recommend to anyone, if he places a list on the sales section on this site, or on ebay, I would'nt be worried. I sent cash Dollars. Thanks again for the 45 Dave Dunc
  23. "If this is true, I won't be buying any 45s from the UK..... " djr, are you ebay member "fonkysoul" ? Dunc
  24. I Can't Wait Any Longer - big maybelle - canadian columbia 15681 refosoul Taken straight from the vinyl
  25. Here's Della Reece. The label is very dark and difficult to photo and this is the good side!! The b side is a black label with black writing, so work that one out. The crazy 1960s Dunc
