Never Seen One Of These On Uk Before
I also have a reggae Uk 45 purchased from the same source on a London indie label from the sixties. The B side is a northern cover of Judge Baby I'm Back, but with different vocals. The backing is proper northern but the vocals are too weak, unfortunately. Will dig it out later. A side is a reggae version of "on Broadway" Dunc

Never Seen One Of These On Uk Before
Hello Pete, Probably a one off. Never seen the likes. Have trolled through thousands of 45s belonging to a local dealer and he has some obscure stuff, including demos, but nothing like that. Some records were pressed on UK demos but never went to release. I have a UK RCA demo of Della Reece - "Blow Out the Sun". It is green on one side and black on the other. The 45 was never released on a Uk issue and there is no record of it in the vinyl bibles. Dunc

Fuller Brothers - Time's A Wasting
From what I have seen the matrix marks are the same on the first press to the second. It is all down to the colour of the label. The dark metallic one is the first, the lighter beige ones with the round clock are 2nd issues, but still retaining the same matrix marks. I will also add that I cannot remember seeing either on Styrene, but no doubt someone will put me right. Dunc

Fuller Brothers - Time's A Wasting
Ok, This has the matrix stamps F- etc and an H. It is Vinyl. I have never seen one like this on Styrene. Bought from a proper source years ago. But defo first issue. If you look at the picture the label is very dark compared to the second issues. Under good light the label is like a metallic finish rather than the plain beige colour of the others. Dunc

Big Maybelle - I Can't Wait Any Longer
BIG MAYBELLE - I CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER (CANADIAN COLUMBIA) EX+ Has the same b side as the UK cbs copy - Turn the world the other way.(small writing on the label on this side) This is total Northern at it's very best. If you do not know it go to soulclub.org and take a listen. I would also add that this is far rarer on this label than US Rojac. Considering how old this is it is in tip top shape and no doubt dealers would describe it as M- (apart from the small felt tip markings on the b side) The sound quality is far clearer than my UK CBS Demo. This is the first of some doubles that I will be selling. £50 plus postage. Payment by UK pounds (Well Hidden and registered) or UK Cheque only. UK postage £1.50 unless you want it registered. PM me or call on 0788 4260011 Cheers Dunc

Latest Auction On John's Site
Yes, I looked at that Tymes one. It is very strange how records are mispressed. Have a Curtis Smith record with a wrong B side on Essica. The B side is Willie small, "How High" How can record companies make that mistake!!! Dunc

Latest Auction On John's Site
Was quite surprised to see Earl Harrison - Homphey Stomp on ABS. "We doubt if, only A handfull of copies are known to exist". Can anyone add to this. I do not wish to highjack the auction in any way, but is this that rare and does anyone know of any of the copies? Dunc

The Charades
Key to My Happiness was £25 until a well known DJ said it was his favourite track of all time.

The Charades
A far better record than all of the above is "You Better Believe It" on Harlem Hit Parade by The Charades. Less money and played at Stafford. Records from that era are always on the up (check soulclub.org) Dunc

Aint No Sun Since You Been Gone-how Many Versions?
The best version of Gladys's is an LP only track and is faster and a different take. I have the LP and without dragging it out it has a huge Pink Heart on the sleeve. The 45 is a lot slower. Dunc
