  1. I think the one on Manship's was a blue label. I have naver seen one of them. Only green ones. Dunc
  2. I wish a Merry Christmas to anybody reading this as they have got to be a Soulie too. Sad aren't we!!! Dunc
  3. That did happen Dave after Wigan closed and collectors sold their records for nowt. But they don't cost nowt now. Alot of people are selling up but the rarer records are still quite rare and will still cost alot. Ebay as outed lots of less rarer records such as Dearly Beloved and one guy puts a Sam Dees on a regurlar basis. It is very expensive to buy at the moment. It was cheaper to buy in the eighties. Is it a better time to sell now? Dunc
  4. To keep a website of this size does cost money. So does anyone know why it is not working. Which is the original question, updates do not take days(usually)?
  5. You can look at a sales list and visit this site and 90% of the time can hear it and decide whether it's for you. We should be finding out what's wrong and if it is money we should have a whip round. Does anyone agree?
  6. I personally do not download to copy from soulclub, but listen to buy from this site as Joe Dunlop can verify.
  7. That is if your site is fully legal. Is soulclub?
  8. When you have a website you have an annual fee to pay depending on the size of your site. Judging by the size this site has become, he may have been given a large bill and may possibly decided it has become too much?
  9. It will be a sad loss if it has closed down.
  10. Hello Dave It's alot easier to get an issue. Probably £10 - £15. Loads of copies of that over here. Probably most in Burnley!!! How are you? Dunc

Hi Martin Have emailed you. Dunc
  13. Is the second record a male or female vocalist? If male it could be Gene Stridel - Tomorrow is another day.

I guess it is better to just deal with the Uk buyers only as two of Pete's negatives are from abroad. Personally I wouldn't deal with anyone giving a French/Belgium address as there have been lots of problems there. (alegedly - is that spealt right?)
  15. £100 for Paul Anka in VG+ is more like it. Only tried to get you a better bid than my miserly offer, unfortunately there were no takers there. Good luck Mark Dunc
  16. Nobody seems to be offering any more then? I must be right
  17. I agree, If something looks Over the top then mention it. £60 for Paul Anka then! Dunc

A mate of mine went to a guy's house who used to work for The Mecca. He had thousands of unplayed UK Demos that record companies sent him (in original sleeves). Unfortunately, he only worked for them in the early seventies, so it was Mojo demos, Spark demos and the likes. All mint though. He bought one or two then left. They have to be sixties demos for me and it wouldn't worry UK or US

I will try and post a link, But if it does not work, try and find The Inverts (Look out Love) on Soulclub.org. Is the session singer with the Inverts Timi Yuro? It certainly sounds like it to me. Any Info anybody? Dunc https://soulclub.org/stream/The_Inverts_-_Look_Out_Love.ram

1.Buster Jones - Baby Boy - Sure Shot. This was played in the eighties and has been lost in time. There are loads of records that are still cheap as the djs stick to playing the rarer stuff. 2. The Friendly People - Ain't Got Nothin But The Blues - VMP. Dance floor filler in the 80's. Vocal and instrumental. If you see one they look like a boot. I have two copies of this one and am waiting for it to have it's time again Dunc

Here's a quick two for you 1. Mary Wells - Me Without You- (20th Centrutry or Brit Stateside) 2 Clifford Curry - Cant get a hold of myself/ Aint no danger (elf/UK Pama) The B side of Clifford Curry is far far better and sounds like a £300 record! The Mary wells is her best mid tempo (in my opinion) Dunc

The title (The Next in Line) is written smaller on the original. The Boot has thicker and bigger writing on it and has a black star on the label

Certainly played regular at early Wigan days. Might be Torch or even Pendulum Days. Someone with more grey hairs than me might know. Another useless piece of information is that Syl Johnson's -Do You Know What Love is - (Special Agent) was first played at the Pendulum Club - Pre Wigan Days.
