  1. There you go, I'd have made a rubbish psychiatrist! Many apologies for slurring your character Steve, i just thought you could have had a good night out.
  2. And it'll be quite nice hearing Bari Track and the rest blasting out of cinema speakers. Big popcorn and a jubbly for me please.
  3. Come on Stevie, you know you'll go and see it even if all your mates tell you it's pants. It's our pants and the only Northern related film to come out since "Blue Juice" so let's not kid ourselves we won't be paying out 7 shillings and 6 pence at the foyer.
  4. Thanks Steve, that's t'riffic. 300 is good. Email would be best, if not PM. Cheers Ady PS Keep taking the tablets Dave
  5. Could anyone kindly do us a high res scan of the Earl Wright Capitol issue label please. If you ain't got access to a good scanner PM me and I'll arrange postage and renumeration for your help. Thanks Ady
  6. Indeed and you did well to spot the true words, I'd have never have got them.
  7. Yes performed live at Clarkie's Function At The Junction circa 1983
  8. Squash it, and it just springs back. Wash it and the colours stay fast etc. I know its common but I must have played the thing 500 times! (TKOs not Cyril Lord)
  9. My daughter just pointed out that the lead singer of the San Francisco TKOs is female. On re-listening it's blatantly obvious. Did anyone else think it was a bloke singing? I really must listen to the words a bit harder. I love lyrics but I don't always hear them thoroughly, certain bits jump out at me but I doubt if I could sing any song right through (apart from Champion The Wonder Horse and the Cyril Lord carpet advert from the 60s).
  10. Finally got to play the flip and it's ultra MOR but the same session and style as an unreleased one we have by them. Though it sounds a hundred miles away from it it's definitely the same group as Good News
  11. The pub at Kelmarsh's disused railway station in Northants. May 1969 The Esquires 'And Get Away'
  12. They were all by the same black group, Eddie Frierson, Freddie Waters and one other i can't think of at the moment, all Bob Holmes productions. They may have used different leads within the group.
  13. Dan certainly got me eddie Frierson's number and that's how Good News eventually came out. Thanks for the clip Simon. Ady
  14. I'd still love to hear the flip if anyone can oblige. ta Ady
  15. I woke up one Sunday morning to see Langham DStreet where I lived by the BBC in the West End covered in records. It took a few secs before I remembered that we'd played frisbees with a couple of hundred Major Harris (wrong title) on OOTP that I'd paid 1p each for!
  16. Could someone put up the sound on the flip or send it me somehow please? We've got an extended version from the master tape
  17. True Steve but it won't read well in the sleevenotes!
  18. Groovy, Acid Popcorn a new genre to work on. Presumably no writer details etc. Put us down for a proper dub please and whack an invoice into Ace Towers. I like it.
  19. 3 eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, grits and pancakes drowned in syrup plus a quart of coffee.
  20. You tease! Owzabout a sound file or whatever they call 'em. PM if you wanna. Ady
  21. Apart from Ace's own Trevor Churchill, has anyone ever seen or owned a copy of it? It has a yellow label and no cover.
  22. How old? I was 26 when i started. They might pip me now though.
