PS Still need a copy of Caesar Till Another Day, we've got a poor quality label scan so far. It's not listed in the guides and sounds great, well worth digging out if you think you may have it.

Was this played as a new release or a "discovery" and if so why in preference to the Detroit Emeralds, is it faster (I ain't got the DEs here to compare). Anyone remember its Northern History? Ta Ady

Ace people were lucky enough to go out with her for a meal last night and she's a lovely and entertaining person as well as being a bit flirty; she had one of our directors in the palm of her hand (metaphorically speaking!). She regaled us with stories of touring with the Beatles and being the first LA artist to record in Detroit for Motown. The live show on Wednesday was excellent, I was particularly impressed with Mable John who I wasn't particularly looking out for, she's 79 and commanded the stage like a blues veteran. She did mainly Stax material sensibly as her Motown stuff was very early.

Has anyone got this, listed as 55413? I could use a scan or at least a timing please. Ady

I've got an unreleased (probably) Roy Smith crossover dancer called 'Stop Sign', it may have been destined for Delphi.

Check out her previously unreleased Miles grayson produced side on Kent CD Masterpieces Of Modern Soul Vol 2, and the sleeve note about her black rights activism and appearing at the White House in recent years.

Probably not Sean, there are a few that got as far as label copy but there's no evidence that they ever came out. Thanks, we'll save it for the ballad CD
