after locating the legends on pumpkin earlier this year after ten years of searching ive now finally found the 2nd of my long time hunts jerry dayton - whos wrong on Ascot was an old Allan Rhodes cover up from wigan in 78 shortly before he retired from djing its took me 9 years to find out what it rwally was as hed covered it up as gerry dayton - as one but now finally in me box and ready for its first airing (probably ) for 25+ years,,i may be wrong will be spinning at the worcester all niter this saturday,along with the legends which is a DYNAMITE 45 regards fluff

having collected 'live' wigan tapes for years ,,got some scorchers over the years from 73 - end of an era with the atmosphere captured highlighted 'clapping' sessions for me include afternoon of the rhino from 74 footsee from 75 stemmons express - woman love thief holly st james - thats not love all from 78 sergio mendes - love music bari track - 75 peter jarrett / tommy james - run run baby run - 79 cecil washington - i dont like to lose - 1980 currently writing some memoirs on my escapades on my collecting the tapes and trying to find the records from them like searching 10 years for the legends on pumpkin and waiting 8 years to uncover allan rhodes sounds from 78! ringing up pete smith at 10.30 at night asking whats this instrumental from 75 pete?? great times and some fantastic tunes from the wigan era!!
