hi chris minimum £100 has gone for £150 but it is not too well known so you might get a bargain i paid about $100. a couple of years ago. wont be at the big lock, paul has a copy you can try to tempt it off him. any news on your new conissuers night. mark

Go for the best turntable and stylus you can afford as your source is very important project make a good range of turnatbles from just over a £100 to around a £1000 check out richer sounds for amps and speakers for £1000 you should be able to get a pretty good system to listen too check out what hi fi's online site or buy a couple of mags what hi-fi is about the best for budget wise stuff the others hi-fi choice and cant remember other one are a bit highbrow. the magazines have buyers guides and price guides so you can work out what you want. dont know where you live but as said richer sounds, super-fi and practical hi-fi are all pretty good shops mark

fair point. i was just being pedantic as it said in the post. the johnny vanneli would now set you back £400.00 +VAT as i am vat registered. obviously you pay more for the real blue dolphin than a top ten issue. mark

the only thing i dissagree with you on this is that it would not be 17.5% cheaper as you can claim the vat back on what you pay for the record so if you paid £200 the vat would be £29.79 and sold it for £300 the vat would be £44.68 so you would pay 14.89 vat to the vatman therefore dealers should be cheaper but not by 17.5% pedantic i know . but i have always thought as you stated that the ordinary dealers should be a good 10 to 15% cheaper than the big VAT reg dealers because it is a business and you have overheads to cover. mark
