Hazel Martin
Have you heard the original version by The Tempests on Smash (which also has got Hazel Martin on vocals)? That 45 should be £5 or less. Have a listen: https://www.soulclub.org/stream/The_Tempest..._Of_My_Life.ram

Charles Beverly - Hollwood
Probably just different pressing plants for the red label ones. The brown/gold-ish one has however got a different catalogue number (210) and features an ever so slightly different version of "Don't You Want A Man Like Me" (no synthesizer "strings" during the intro, different vocal take etc.). Plus it has got "Back Up Train" on the flipside, not "Hollywood".

2 Possibly Unknown Gene Redd Modern Soul Tunes
"Invisible Wind" is the same track as recorded (in my opinion far superior and grittier) by Arnie Love & The Loveletts on one of their early 80s 12"s on TAP. Still wouldn't mind a copy of the female version. "Guilty" sounds great as well!

Hanna-barbera Label
Now that's what I call a "proper" label discography! Lovely.

Mickey Murray
No. Not in the US at least.

Which Label For Xmas?
I'm really intrigued by the Flaming Arrow label at the moment so wouldn't mind a complete set of those... Could throw in the complete Crow catalogue as well... Or failing that, why not Charay, another label with a seriously messed up discography that issued loads of good stuff in a variety of genres.

Sue Records Usa
Has anyone got the 45 by The Notations on Sue for sale by any chance? Please PM me if so.

Ditalians - I Gotta Go & Hugh Mccracken
Yes, I'm afraid you probably did. Manship was in my opinion way off mark when suggesting a price of £150 for this 45 in that other thread some days ago. It hardly ever turns up for sale. But oh well, £150 is still good money!

Ditalians - I Gotta Go & Hugh Mccracken
Wow, that was fast. Such a bloody superb stomping tune!

Temptones - Ringleaders
I'm with you on that one. They are extremely similar. It wouldn't suprise me if Hall, Oates and those other guys bought every record they could find on labels like M-Pac/One-Derful/Mar-V-Lus and wore them out. Those were pretty big labels back then considering the success of The Five Du-Tones etc. Love most of Hall & Oates pre-1983 stuff. The "Abandoned Luncheonette" LP and the self-titled "silver album" are superb.

Possible Billy Sha-rae Video Clip
Do you mean his REAL surname? It's Sha-Rae on all of his records that I have seen, here are some:
-
Possible Billy Sha-rae Video Clip
At the end of the following video clip, featuring Detroit band The MC5, the announcer says something along the lines of "we'll be right back with Little Milton Campbell, Billy Sha-Rae, more MC5 and right now... Anne Murray": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6pfU9wli8g It's from a 60s US TV-show called "The Lively Spot". That footage of Billy Sha-Rae MUST exist somewhere and someone must have this entire episode of "The Lively Spot". Does anyone of you out there with "contacts" in this market/region know anything about this or might be able to track down that footage? Would be nice to watch!

Values For These Please
There you go! A bit over the top if going by what most copies sell for though...
-
Values For These Please
...as always with Manship "book values", divide by 2 or even 3 and you won't get disappointed when selling.

Values For These Please
Don't think I've EVER seen a w/d of this sell for more than £125 in the real world. Amazing.

Modern Soul Interest
It's on MONEY. Goes for about £100-£150 these days it seems.
-
Modern Soul Interest
This utilises the same backing track as Bobby Angelle's "Too Much For You" which actually was released on a Money 45. I personally prefer the released take, even though I'd imagine that Bobby's voice is a bit of an acquired taste. Have a listen: https://www.soulclub.org/stream/Bobby_Angel...uch_For_You.ram

Mp3 'my Love Is So Strong'
You are ofcourse right about that. I thought you meant that the artist that released records on the Flaming Arrow label was the SAME Angela Davis as the one who was a member of the Black Panthers. Confusing...
-
Mp3 'my Love Is So Strong'
It's not the same recording as "The Gallop" but I know what you mean, they're very similar. Those same guitar and brass riffs were re-used time and time again for different tunes on the Flaming Arrow label, i.e. "Take Me To The Bathtub" and "My Love Is So Strong" by Angela Davis, "You Hit The Spot" by Gloria Walker etc. Different recordings all of them, but with similar parts. The "Flaming Arrow Angela Davis" and the "Black Panther Angela Davis" are two different persons. The Flaming Arrow artist looks like this:
