Value: Sister Sledge - Love Don't Go - Test Pressing
"Easier To Love" on the flipside of "We Are Family" is a magnificent midtempo tune in my opinion.

Angel Baby - Darrow Fletcher
Haven't got an issue copy myself, but the flipside on that is supposed to be "Let's Get Together" according to the Atco label listing. I think that CM just made a typo.

Yes you can...

Cheap Pressings
I have used Gramofonove Zavody (GZ Digital Media) in the Czech Republic in the past when I've done small runs of 45s (200-500 copies) and they've always been easy to work with and reasonably cheap even when doing small runs. Check them out: https://www.gzcd.com/en/index2.html

Checkmates Ltd - All Alone By The Telephone
"Put It In A Magazine" on Highrise? Quite nice and mellow if so.

Lee Tillman & The Secrets
Not quite sure about the value of the Lee Tillman, but don't think it should be too much. There's another version of this track by The Delacardos available on both Q-City and Atlantic which I think is far superior and the Atlantic issue should only cost you £10-£15-ish. Just heard it here again and can't understand why I don't play it out more. Fantastic stomper. Here's an RA of Delacardos:

New Sounds - Don't Take Your Love
The P-Vine copies are apparently bootlegs according to those who know. The only original issue (or not, as it was unissued) is the Turbo LP.
-
New Sounds - Don't Take Your Love
If you can settle for a "reissue"/bootleg... why not make one yourself? The tune is included on an official UK CD compilation, get that or ask someone to rip it for you. Then go to www.vinylcarvers.co.uk and get them to cut a one-sided copy for £15. You'll have it within a week.

Northern To Disco
For those of you interested in the development of DJ-ing culture and the music genres associated with it... there's a book called "Last Night A DJ Saved My Life - The History Of The Disc Jockey" written by Bill Brewster and Frank Broughton that I highly recommend. It's not perfect, but it's a very good book spanning the years between the first turntable and right up until the early 2000s. Should be £7.99 in any good UK book store.

L Austin- "steal Away"
Perhaps: Leon Austin - Steal Away If so... released on King (#6291), produced by James Brown, and it's a cover of the Jimmy Hughes tune (although very different). It was booted a while ago on a King 45, with some Marva Whitney track on the flipside.

E-bay Cock Ups
Yes it is: Cate Brothers - Where Can We Go / (same) - ASYLUM 45370 Have only seen white demo copies.

Leon Haywood ..consider The Source
I really like the 20th Century version as well. An entirely different approach to the tune and more of a ballad. Plus it's got a nice Hi-ish mid-tempo tune on the b-side entitled "Just Your Fool". You need both 45s.

Lost Family Blew My Mind Music Bag Please
I have no problems with my International Music Bag copy. It plays perfect.

Benny Curtis
Here's a link to the copy I sold on eBay a while ago (where label scans and soundfiles can be found): https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=4736760899

Lost Family Blew My Mind Music Bag Please
Don't think I've ever seen a vinyl copy of the Innovation II release, only styrene copies. The International Music Bag copies are pressed on vinyl and sound fine to me. Nice record indeed!

Here's the original version by The O'Jays on Imperial. It's much better (understatement of the year).

Montclairs "hung Up On Your Love"
Just dug out both my Paula and Contempo 45s of this. The Contempo one is longer and also a slightly different mix.

For Sale: Jack Hammer - Swim
Oh dear bloody god!!! You sure jump to conclusions today. I'm not giving anyone a hard time. I AM trying to work out a trade deal with the "£50-guy". Seriously, isn't it YOU who are giving ME a hard time here? Do you think that every non-soul record that is advertised for sale here should be listed like... Liz Verdi - Think It Over - COLUMBIA - £200 * please note, this is not a soul record * Robert John - Raindrops Love And Sunshine - A&M - £40 * please note, this is not a soul record * ...to avoid letting people down? The person that has offered me £50 for Jack Hammer knows FULL WELL what it sounds like and probably couldn't care less whether you think it is a soul record or not. So does the people who are bidding on the current copy up on eBay (£26 now, more than 3 days to go). This is a record that sells because there is a demand for it. I'm not saying that it is a soul tune but whether it is or not is irrelevant. Have I offended you recently? Why the agressive tone of your messages? Was it my smilie that upset you? I didn't mean to.

For Sale: Jack Hammer - Swim
Whoa! Easy. I've never said that it was a soul record. Where did I write that? Not that it matters considering about 50% of the records being sold as "soul" on the many different forums though... And further to that, why did you bring it to the 100 Club to sell if it wasn't a soul/r&b record? And why did someone buy it? Probably because they like one of the tunes on this particular 45. And it's very funky and rocks a club like hell. Not a northern soul floor perhaps, but that's not really relevant. It has also got a Motown connection having been released on US Soul and swedish Tamla Motown. Someone asked a while back if anyone had a copy of Jack Hammer "Swim" for sale. It did happen on this forum, so I thought I should offer my copy. I sold my last copy for £40, and this new one I found yesterday in a nearby shop here in my hometown of Malmoe, Sweden. I ofcourse want to make as big a profit as possible. I've already been offered £50 cash. Can anyone better that?

Cover Up Thread - Who Are These
The penny just dropped. Bobby Adams is: James Gadson - Got To Find My Baby - CREAM On issue copies only I think. £8 from Manship. I guess he's got a bunch of them. Good tune IMO.
