  1. this widely contradicts the boxes of unplayed stock coming out of texas a few years back, but ok then. also one of the ones i have on 45 too great track meditation singers on 45 should be cool though. will definitely buy it regardless
  2. 2 hours of funk & soul 45s https://www.ustream.tv/recorded/23840195
  3. i actually kind of like it but it sounds like about a hundred other r&b/jump blues 45s i own
  4. he will probably tell you once he has scored himself a copy, don't sweat about it.
  5. nope, LP only, still i cry
  6. love that Endeavors track, never far from my play out box. man I wish that sharon jones new shoes was on 45, i weep.
  7. as a younger collector/dj this is one of the things i find the most frustrating about the whole "scene"
  8. yeah Benji, tell us how you really feel.
  9. i love it, one of my favorite sounds.
  10. i'll bid, i'm trying to run manship's 5th and don't have that one yet.....
  11. that's ok then, i'll go back to rearranging my ebay saved search purchase priorities in the order of manship's high to low...... for now.......
  12. wait, are we saying there are some records in the million dollars of rare soul and manship's guide which are overpriced?? mind = blown
  13. yeah those uk envelope style mailers suck, the amount of times things arrive with pressure warps etc. the craziest one to come to mind though was when i had two 45s from Wild Records in California sent to me in NZ in just A4 paper envelope, in the xmas post & they arrived safe with just slight warps, a xmas miracle. next time i ordered i made sure to ask that they be sent packed in cardboard.
  14. that curtis davis track sucks to my ears.
  15. All you have to do is ask I'll give until there's nothing left this couplet has always annoyed the hell out of me in Do I Love You, such a lazy cop out, everything else rhymes or works really well but then you have this clanger right in the first verse, ask & left aren't especially tough to find rhymes for, that line just seems so phoned in. ha ha. but yeah, i think taste has a lot to do with it, some people base their taste on the rarity factor, others on the music.
  16. possible confirmation of a grey label copy on vinyl
  17. looking at the 2nd picture i'm wondering if it's not just a really faded pink label?? but yeah, if it is a grey label copy on vinyl then it's a pretty rare variation. here is another thread on this 45:
  18. don't ever remember seeing sheldon just scratched into anything, only the stamp. could just be one of those weird things though. i don't know if that's enough to make a "bootleg" conclusion on....
  19. people just want the thing on 7" & don't care about originality or anything like that, it's a shift in scene mentality
  20. can't believe people are hating on Coltrane, there is a whole heap of stunningly beautiful music in his work.
  21. fair enough
  22. oh man, i can't hang with that Tad Robinson stuff at all, i see the like button at the bottom right of the post but this has me wondering where the dislike button is
  23. i dig that phantom limb track, never heard them before, might have to grab the CD from amazon.
  24. Alabama Shakes album is a bit boring but if you only hear them track at a time then they are fine, kind of like a less exciting version of the Bell-Rays (who I like a lot more) for me.
