Have a ton of favourites non-motown related. But how about the Peps or Ronnie Love's versions of "Detroit, Michigan" (D-Town) for a non-motown related label that nods towards Berry Gordy's and name drops a few at the same time! Love it!

Now, I know this superb unreleased midtempo item was put out on CD (One of the Groovesville Reviews I think?) but are there any acetates around, and has it been issued (since CD release) on vinyl either in the UK or elsewhere? Thanks Mark.

Quality tune, how catchy is this, one of those you just don't want to end, know what I mean! First heard this on 'that famous', oft copied tape by Robin Salter in the mid 80s (same tape that had Terry Callier on, when everybody thought it was a one off at the time?). Through the years I've 'matured (?)' into a reet 60s snob, however this tune is awesome! Ask my wife and 9 year old daughter!
