  2. In April 2015 our very good friend Paul Thrower was diagnosed with MND. This is a particularly random illness which strikes without warning and for no real reason. As you'll remember the ice bucket challenges have dramatically raised awareness, but there still needs to be far more research into how & why this disease works.Paul is facing this disease with great humour & bravery in his usual pant swinging & retro sock style, which we all know is part of his character! On the 12th Dec 2015 whilst having a few pints at "Seriously Soulful" in Bristol, John Pearson, Chris Anderton & Dave Lucas had the brilliant idea of cycling for MND awareness from Dab of Soul Nantwich to Seriously Soulful Bristol. The event will be over 2 days (13th-14th May 2016) covering 140 miles. Chris Anderton, Ian Bulloch, Dave Lucas, Steve McColgan, John Pearson, Jack Phillips, Kev Rodgers, Steve Wagstaff & Phil Wainwright are the Soulful lycra clad participants. To promote further awareness & research we very much appreciate your donations through JustGiving, by doing this you are potentially saving someone's life in the future. All the team would like to thank you so much for every penny donated for a Dab of Seriously Soulful Money for MND Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. 10. Good luck with the shop guys...i`ll be along when I take the kids up to see the planes at Manchester airport! Chris
  11. Cheers Mike, will catch up with that, sounds great. Chris
  12. Manship gets the best prices for the rarest records that's for sure...looks like you will be keeping that beauty in your collection for life. Anyway, must get to work on my stories.... I think the number of people reading this thread proves there is a demand for such a book! Chris
  13. Nicola, I have really dragged my feet with this...could make a thousand excuses, kids work etc but I am still interested in contributing if it is not too late. What is the latest? Chris
  14. A sad reflection of the many people on this scene who say they want something different but when it is delivered on their door step they dont bother to get off their fat arses and support it. This could be the first of many quality soul venues to fold in the near future due to lack of support. I had the pleasure of DJing there a few times and loved everything about it. Well done for what you achieved guys, you should be very proud. Chris
  15. Mmm. Shame Jerry Butler is not involved...I`d walk on broken glass to see Jerry again!
  16. Still got mine to do... cant wait to read the others! Chris
