Why would someone go to the not insignificant expense and trouble of reproducing good and convincing counterfeits of top end value rare records and then give them away? That is indeed a most generous friend.

People do give a very big toss indeed about the current bootlegging and counterfeiting practices Pete, believe me. If you don't think they do, you are deluding yourself.

Harsh judgement on the fella who started this post really. As for the crass nonsense Pete Smith keeps spouting about the wonder of these illegal counterfeits........................I suspect I am not alone in being left speechless.

But this isn't one of them!! Sorry, but that's a stinker IMHO. Might go well at an out-and-out Mod event, but not something I would expect to hear at a rare soul/funk event.

Thanks Kev. I had looked at Discogs, but that's a bit random. What I'm after is a US 45s listing, all tidy with A side and B side titles in a nice neat chronological/release number order. Not interested in the subsidiaries, LPs or UK releases either. Anyone?

Anybody got a discography of A and B sides of 45s released on TK? Cannot track anything down on the internet. Cheers.

Crops up in low grade condition and seems to go for £700/800. Minters have to be a grand if not more.

My post was also speculating as to a possible reason why such a sudden switch from Philips to Blue Rock. Always wondered what the story was.

OK. Here's my theory. Released first on Philips in March '65. But lack of demand from record stores because of lack of profile and attention on a large national label meant a quick rethink and switch to the Blue Rock subsidiary imprint in April or May because it was more recognisable to the specialist R&B buying public and therefore easier to sell to stores specialising in R&B product - "hey guys, we have a great new uptempo Blue Rock sound in store this week".
