Yeah it's very sad about the place being pulled down My favourite era from Lowton was when they had the 3 rooms. Marvelous memories of all 3 . If the Broom Cupboard is available for the final night can you stick some of us modern lot in there It would be great to end Lowton how it started, for me, with an absolutely buzzing modern room. Rumour has it there are about 150 modern refugees who would like to make this farewell party so that would be the icing on the cake I have lots of funny memories of Lowton like Mick Francis driving that fast down the East Lancs (to get there) a police car (flashing lights & sirens) had to actually slam on for us to avoid a collision Also the time I had to park on the football pitch (car-park FULL) and got stuck on the damn field (following a torrential downpour) so had to get an army of men to come & push me out but bless they were knee deep in mud & had to go back in the venue as the night wasn't over I'll be at the last one for sure, with or without a modern room, but it would be nice to bring back some of those great modern room memories & tunes so if Mr Murphy reads this pretty pretty pretty pretty please will you consider this & fix it for us Lots of love & fond memories Alison xxx

Brent - That is a great shame. To be honest I could not see the point of this thread as in all the years of me going to "nighters" I personally have only come across 3 "children" (2 of which have been named previously) & the other was a girl from South Yorkshire (can't remember her name but she'll be grown up now- I think she was 14 or 15 at the time) & she used to go with her mum & dad. Their prescence does not bother me one bit or interfere with my enjoyment. I know in Ethan's case he doesn't stop all night, a bit like me really so it's very petty of someone to take away these few hours of enjoyment that Ethan finds on his own doorstep. At Radcliffe there are 3 rooms so if there is someone in one room that is causing you concern (even if it is a young lad dancing his heart out to the music oblivious of what's going on around him as he is totally into the music) , you just go into another room. Anyway I know there will be many who disagree me but I dont care as I have met these "children" & know they are passionate about their music & let's hope it continues. Keep your chin up & if I were you I would avoid this thread like I'm going to do from now on as it is upsetting seeing them getting pulled apart. Take care Ali x
