and Even More Ebay Madness
It was even less than 20 at one time. When the first batch turned up about 15 years I bought two copies, tenner each. Shrewd businessman I am I later sold both on @ 30 and 50 quid each thinking I made a nice profit. For sure it's not one that is around in quantity. When you look at the label (partially hand stamped, some credits missing, etc.) you know immediately it's a private press that didn't sell well.

This Record Definitely Doesn't Exist, (Or Does It) ?
Wow, that's a nice one. Well done, Dave! I collect german presses and I always wish one day I'll find a beauty like this instead of pop sh*t like Derek Christien

Patty Stokes On Jm's Auction
Slightly off topic. Judy Stokes = Judy Page (former Ikette) from Peoria, IL https://www.peoriajazz.com/home.php?section_lvl=website_artist&sub_lvl=profile&artist_id=2004051714593940a919aba669a

Marge Dodson - Bricks, Broken Bottles And Sticks
Common one, it's the "amateur copy" that everyone's after (or was that "amateur porn"?) Anyway, it's known I think. Should be around 50/75?

Tony, I did read all your words. Did you too?

This Record Definitely Doesn't Exist, (Or Does It) ?
And the fact that it was mentioned as just bumbling under the Billboard Top 100 for a few weeks in october 64. Back to the Volumes on Pama: Dave/Tony, honestly, claiming you've seen a copy 40 odd years ago means FA in the end.

The Most Miserable Record Dealer
Think I have to stand up for Richard Domar. Used to buy loads of stuff off him in pre-Internet days . He got his own "rules of acquisition" that I agree are a bit odd. But I got along with him very well as long as I stuck to these rules. Whenever I phoned him to order stuff I ended up chatting with him endlessly about german football clubs. Infact sometimes I went to my parents to call Richard as I knew the phone bill would ruin me

George Freeman Down And Out
purple issue rarer than demo (and more attrative looking) so you're not that far off. I'd 150 WD and 200 issue. One of my alltime favourite beat ballads, should be 500+ just for the quality.

Invincibles - So Much Love
There is infact a french release by the Invincibles. But I think it' "that love of mine". And I can't remember if it's on 45 or EP. Very vague I know but it might help you

Don Adams-Yesterday Hero
Sorry, can't acess Popsike from my office PC. It's just that I heard of the french EP a few times but never of a german EP so I assumed you might be looking for a press that actually doesn't exist. But thanks for correcting. Another one for my wants list of german presses.

Don Adams-Yesterday Hero
I guess the EP you're looking for is french not german

Ebay Transaction
I may just don't get it: seller sends insured only and buyer insists on the goods being sent just registered? if that's the case why is it a scam?

Derrick Harriott - The Loser (Incredibly Soulful Rocksteady 45)
Wish I had seen this earlier One of the best (and probably one the slowest) Rocksteady tunes! Would have bought it straight away at that price...

Wanted: Five Royales - Catch That Teardrop
(First posted it about 8 weeks ago. Unfortunately the record got lost in the post so here I am again:) A close friend of mine is trying to find a nice copy of Five Royales - Catch that teardrop either on Home of the blues or ABC. Doesn't have to be mint but should be playable at least. He'd be able to pay up to 200 quid, depending on condition. Please PM me with price and condition, Thanks!

Marshall Donovan Broomfield: Since I Found My Baby
I find the two versions to be too different for comparison (and I think both are great!)

Value For Two Uk Demos?
John, I guess my prices were fair: Artistics already sold and looks like Tommy G will be leaving these premises too.

Where's The New Discoveries ?
Don't know all of them but aren't they a bit left-field compared to the classic four beats to the bar Northern sound? I think the actual question was, there are hardly any new Northern four beats to the bar discoveries. And with that I'd certainly agree.
-
Value For Two Uk Demos?
Both records are now up for sale with fair prices (IMHO), Artistics @70, Tommy G @ 45, both incl 'signed for' post worldwide. Would prefer cash but if anyone's up for trading against any Ska/Early Reggae discs from my wants list feel free to contact me any time.

Value For Two Uk Demos?
John, thanks a lot Just realized I mixed up my estimations, meant to say that artistics is 60/70 and Tommy G & Charms is about 50.

Where's The New Discoveries ?
Although it's not one of my personal favourites but Billy Harner - I've got to check you out on V-Tone is one of the best recent discoveries. Classic Northern beat, catchy break, the lot.

Value For Two Uk Demos?
I'm going to put the following two records up for sale but I'm not sure about fair prices for them. Artistics - Hope we have/I'm gonna miss you - UK Coral Demo (~50??) Tommy G & The Charms - I know what I want - UK London Demo (~60/70?) both in great nick, at least EX, clean labels. My estimates in brackets. What do you think? Overpriced, fair or bargain priced? TIA Benji
