Tony Hestor - Down In The Dumps
There was one original Detroit acetate supposed to exist. Marc Hi Pete, Sam Ward and Ideals scans were taken from bootlegs.

Tony Hestor - Down In The Dumps
Last time I heard that played out was when Keb Darge played it in Hamburg last year. So there seem to be two acetates then. For your home entertainment I strongly recommend the old Inferno Detroit A Go Go compilation...although cut (mainly?) off bootlegs this great compilation brings them all to you (incl. Down In The Dumps). Marc

This is in my book one of the most worthwhile soul fanzines ever. it has been published for so long now, derek deserves the highest respect for his hard labor and continuity Next to that it has had and still has up to this day the best record reviews and informations any self-respecting soul collector could ask for (well, excluding maybe the two or three reviews I was honoured to have been asked to add.. ). What a fountain of inspiration and knowledge it had become overthe years...anyone remember those great reviews by the Driveller, Carl Fortnum and later Dave Flynn ? Beside that I just received "That Beat" courtesy of Dave Moore/USA which is also a very nice effort and a good read....only thing missing in it are reviews of rare records....which leads to another well flavoured zine of mine, the sadly dead Rare Soul Review by Tim Brown....now that agian was a very good read...and if you did not like reading (it) you could at least get totally shaky and nervous by looking at scans of records most of us won`t have the chance to at least hold in there hands once- Values ?
...and Keith Williams has one up for grabs right now at 150 UKP- Help Please- Carl Underwood- Ain't You Lying
"Don`t Worry About Dancing" great tune. I still believe it is none other than Ray Agee singing this great 45. You can very easily detect that especially by hearing the (deep-er)flipside. We had a discussion about this and the other releases on Kick Off on the raresoulforum a while ago. Got mine quite reasonably priced but then again I paid quite a big sum for the Carl Underwood tune...such is life. The other worthwhile tune on Kick Off is by Nora Roberts "I Just Flip"...a very nice R&Bish doublesider...will take that one with me to the Hideaway in October- Quality Rare Soul Sale

- Cracked Records - Effect On Value?
And again I second you, BUT how many VG+ copies do get offered graded EX+ or without mentioning the condition at all ? Shifty next to others of course springs to my mind as a very good example, always strict on grading and always using the % off the mint price - Nate Nelson On Prigan
