Hi Chalky having both versions I can tell you teh are not identical. Although you` re right that thir voices sound at least very similar. But then again it shares a slightly different backing track.
  3. Manship has one put one up for auction
  4. It had been sold afterwards anyway. (No, not to me...)
  5. There has just been done a new cd focussing on Sal Soul Records the soulful way...title escapes me at present, but it got a plug thru the latest Anglo list. Marc

  9. Definitely not for the first time
  10. I traded mine six years ago against Leroy Taylor on Shrine if that is of any help to you.
  11. Are you on about the copy Manship had up for auction or the copy I played while Tim was dancing
  12. When Tim Brown was guesting at the Hip City last year that was the first record he was dancing to so I thought to my silly self that this particular 45 must have something like a revival over there (the UK)...seen several go over the last months for way more then the 5 UKP I once paid for it. I think the hefty price tag in this particular case is due to it being a WD which are indeed scarce.
  13. I sold a WD two years ago for 20 UKP
  14. tripple that amount.
  15. Goodness me, twelve pounds only.....buy this top screamer !

    Nice R&B 45 on Atco...just sold one.
  17. I think you made no mistake...definitely as rare as the Carl Underwood
  18. You are somehow right about the Salt & Pepper one...but again his voice makes even this dull tune something special IMO
  19. great tune...not many have or know it. Scarce. Carl Willingham has one but I think he did not play it out (?), me I have one and I will definitely playing it out...before or after Carl Underwood
  20. in fact nearly every King Coleman 45
  21. Have his "I Spy" also with a picture cover.
  22. flip to "down In The Basement". Hard to get but still reasonable priced. Great record both sides!
