Me & Paul started the “Harbour Soul” event 7 years ago with the intention of meeting up every couple of months to spin a few soulful tunes on a Sunday afternoon…on board were Steve Jackson and Rupe Burdass…Paul suggested The Waters Edge pub as moving a table or two gave us a small dance floor…didn’t really think we’d still be going 7 years later, but here we are… Due to its size numbers don’t matter as it’s always a great atmosphere…Anyway we are back next Sunday (14 September 2025) with fantastic guest Dave Halsall…If you like your soul a little less obvious and have a broad appreciation of soul music, Harbour Soul should be right up your street…all set in a fantastic pub run wonderfully by hosts Liam & Kerry…it’s free entry…so hope to see you there!!! 😊😊😊

Returning after a bit of a layoff, Harbour Soul returns…yes I found a gap in the congested soul scene calendar 😄…which has worked out perfectly to celebrate a lady who has, I think, attended every one of our events down at the Watersedge Pub…Yes it’s Jackie Parkin’s birthday…If you know Jackie you know your gonna hear tracks from Bobby Womack, George Benson, & countless 70s dance soul classics…as well as crossover modern and the occasional Northern / Motown track…Be good to see everyone who can make it…

No Harbour Soul in December…so, into 2025 we go🥳and our first event of the year…starting earlier and winding it up 1/2 later…Hear rare / underplayed early on, then a dance floor friendly finale 😀…Residents Steve, Rupe, Paul & Ric with guests to be announced…this is an original vinyl event…covering across the board soul (deep, sweet, crossover, modern, 70s, motown, northern, beat ballads, with some gospel, latin & funk…phew!!😅) Looking forward to seeing our regulars and welcoming new faces…a cracking afternoon in a fabulous little pub…
