  2. Hi everyone? What's the value for Jack Harden - She'll Be Back on Star Shot (Canadian label...)? Thanks in advance!
  3. Blue Notes - Gone fishing / Ron and Joe - Go away and stay on Megatone 106 in playable condition. Cash waiting. PM me with price and condition... Thanks in advance!
  4. Thanks a lot! Been thinking a lot on this one... And the acetate on ebay was a copy of "A Nicer Girl" also featured on the cd you were talking about Chalky.
  5. I was listening to a cd the other day with a few unreleased cuts. The Topics - Tears tell the story seems very familiar to me. Is this tune released in anyway? Is this song recorded by someone else? Been scratching my head over this one. I seem to remember that a acetate copy of this tune was sold on ebay recently. Great tune.
  6. Mr Manship (www.raresoulman.co.uk) is auctioning one in beautiful condition right now...
  7. You are not referring to jt parker if you want to hold on? I think it was covered up as something similar to that, though i can't remember exactly what. Jt parker is on youtube...
  8. Now sorted. Thanks! :-)
  9. Cash waiting. Must be at least EX. Pm me with price and condition. Thanks!
  10. Manhattans - I bet'cha couldn't love me - carnival Ray Charles - tired of my tears - ABC Brothers of soul - hurry don't linger - boo Pat Lewis - Look What I almost missed - solid hit The Chimes record mentioned before is really worth checking out... So good! The list goes on. Happy hunting!
  11. "For me this is one of the best Northern Records ever! When you are off your tits and the intro, again one of the best intros ever, it's a get out of my way or you will be knocked over dash for the dancefloor. Proper aggro soul. The record has everything an allnighter wants. Intro, lyrics belted out by Silus lost in the zone, great great sax break and then it ramps up once more till the finish. It's up there with the best discoveries ever made on this scene." I totally agree. I had to put my thumb to surgery after having heard this record in Stockholm 2004. I was quite drunk and in all the excitement I felt the need to backdrop when this fabulous record was played. My thumb never fully recovered... :-) It was totally worth it all!
  12. Thanks Ricky! Some of this is new to me. When the track was recorded for example... Well, my guess is that the people who put the cd together had access to the mastertapes and thought the song sounded better without the backing singers and subsequently removed them. The cd track is also in stereo opposite to the mono mix of the 45.
  13. Sunshine - Leave Me (and see what happens) - Phil La of soul 359. I heard this on a cd called the northern side of philly, liked the record and to my surprise when i put the needle in the grooves at home I heard a different mix than the cd. There are female chorus singers that are not featured on the cd? Anyone know the story? Is the cd version unreleased or are there differences between demos and issues (mine is a white demo)?
  14. Stratoliners sold.
  15. It think they loose some pace just after the intro when the bassguitar starts playing a more funky style. Can't really say they're loosing pace at 1:28, but that's just me. My experience is that if a band looses pace it's almost always after the intro. It's easy to play fast at first but once the song gets more complicated.... =)
  16. And soundfiles... Stratoliners https://www.divshare.com/download/23872199-4c3 Johnny Watson https://www.divshare.com/download/23872195-648
  17. Oh yeah... Please PM me if you want any of the records. I take paypal.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/111027119861?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Ended early. I wonder what this would have sold for if the 9 day listing on ebay was completed...? Such a great record. Both sides. Been asking around for it a few times and completely understood that I should just leave the dreams of this one behind... Was a little bit surprised to see that this was a Memphis redord. Always thought it was recorded somewhere else... Does anyone know the story behind the record and the group?
  22. Hilarious topic! Everytime I DJ out I get some bizarre request. Unfortunately not with bizarre titles because most of the people making requests in Sweden have not heard any northern soul or r'n'b at all, and the ones that do know their titles (unless plagued with temporary memory loss as I am every time I try to talk about a specific record with a fellow soulie at a nighter...).
  23. I love this tune!
  24. I recognize the backing track on the andrew brown record... What is it? *scratching my head*
  25. Oh! I absolutely missed this. I located my copy early 2012 and these comments were not there by that time... I love when people related to the artists or the artists themselves fill in the gaps.
