Vox pop in the Northern Quarter(Mcr) have a nice little cafe inside..not strictly a soul record shop but they sell plenty. It's good for me to wait in whilst the other half ploughs through boxes of 45s!

The same can be said for Soul Source! We may get a few more members who want to see what all the fuss is about. I think he loves it really...as you say as long as folk are talking about him it he doesn't care what they're saying

He was a bit upset about soul source wasn't he? I thought the Vanessa haynes track wasn't bad...tbh none of them were that bad but the production just seemed a bit Stock Aitken and Waterman like his usual stuff....like the cds you get from morrisons! I know it's been said before but I'm not a 55 year old chin stroker who likes out of tune Shrine recordings

My favourite female artists...how can I chose between them? The dulcit tones of Bella Mia or the heartfelt passion of Let me Give you my lovin....but then all Tammi can think about is you ....examples would be nice-I am sure it will be a close call

Been reading through this thread and my first thought was "i have 3 children, 2 under 2...I haven't got time to be passionate about the NS scene...my life can only revolve around nappies, wiping faces and trying to get more than 5 hours sleep per night... However, here I am on soul source again, supposed to be working...in the back of my head that I MAY get a babysitter this weekend and I can get out and listen to the music I love when I'm not wearing pyjama bottoms...it's always there but not the priority it used to be!

Jazzy B doesn't know his arse from his elbow regarding the Northern Soul scene as I would wager that he never went within 200 miles of a proper NS club...as usual programmes like this use soundbites from people like him as it's easier than doing proper research.How cheap can you get showing old Enoch straight after him....

Beautiful island, went afew years back and hopped between there and Zakynthos which is very close by. We stayed mainly in Scala.....phew it will be bloody hot right now....hope you've got air con? We didn't as we stayed in small cell like room(we didn't have a big budget) and I spent most nights jumping in and out of a cold bath
