Uk Grapevine Wanted...all Of Them
That might be a freak Ebay price at one time. Most of the Grapevine's are worth 5 or 10 each. Trust me, I sell them week in week out. I just Ebayed a demo of Flame & King, it went for less than 20 quid, and thats supposed to be "£50". You may see Grapevines on lists for 25's and 30's but do they ever sell? Simon, when you say they are in RCA demo sleeves, are you counting those as actual demos? If all your 45's marked D are proper demos, I'll be willing to make you an offer, cash or/and trades, seeing as my complete set was stolen by someone I will be perfectly happy to name by PM.

Original Vinyl Or Nothing
One thing thats worth mentioning, I know of one well known dj and collector who has had dubs done of all his big records as he feels they are too valuable to take out and get ruined on rubbish quality decks, and he does have a point, but how is anyone to know that he actually has the originals?

Rock Pop Cover Versions
Ken I have to agree with you, this is why I questioned it in the first place, I have had emails from Jim Messina in the past and I swear he said this was his first record, also if The Outsiders were big in 1966/67, then member Tom King could have started his own label around that time, not 8 years later when nobody would know who he was...

Original Vinyl Or Nothing
The reasoning behind that is because most of the people who we know as "returnees" tended to go off the scene in the late 70's, so anything after that up until the early 90's when they all came back, is obviously a "newie"...well it is to them. I'll give you an example, Arin demain was never played at Wigan when I attended, I must have missed it by maybe a year, and I didn't actually hear it until around 1984-85, so when I'm doing tapes or cd's for myself, thats always in with the newies!!!

Original Vinyl Or Nothing
Okay let me quantify that statement. Newies = records played in the last 10 years!

Steve - reason I used to got to Wigan every week for almost 4 years solid is because I could hear tracks that I couldn't hear at my youth club disco or local soul night. But that was over 25 years ago and I am not interested enough to drive 80 miles to a venue to hear a new rare track. The people like yourself who are still into it enough to travel to hear newies are a very small percentage of the scene nowadays. That's not a good thing by the way, it's just what I see as being a fact of life. So the perfect playlist as far as I'm concerned (thats if DJ-ing) is oldies mixed with rarer oldies and one or two new ones to try out, otherwise, you lose the floor. As a punter I'd probably want to hear maybe 10% oldies, 60% lesser known/played oldies and 30% newies.- Original Vinyl Or Nothing
I don't want to take this offtopic but that above statement matches exactly a film I've got, early 70's tv movie where there's these little gremlin things live in this old house and they drive the new owner mental. By playing The Carstairs over and over again.- Value Please
30 to 50 quid. But I'm interested as to why you asked about that side, I've never heard it mentioned before - I'll Be There is the top side.- Original Vinyl Or Nothing
In your bedroom maybe not at a place where real people are- Kev Marshall R. I. P
Can't tell you how sorry I am to hear this. God bless Kev and family.- Original Vinyl Or Nothing
At venues it's not about hearing - it's about dancing isn't it? So most of the people who pay to get in want to dance, and they won't dance to tracks they don't know. Usually.- Link To Every Video Clip Here
