  1. Please Operator - So despite having no Detroit credits on the label at all, that I could see - is that a Funk Brothers track, recorded in Detroit? I had no idea.
  2. Dave, on that clip above, Rob's put the different version up...no backing vocals etc
  3. Absolutely amazing Rob, where are you getting this stuff, I can't believe there's an instrumental to Please Operator, was really enjoying ripping the audio out of that one until it faded out at 1 minute 30
  4. Dave, didn't he used to play Back Street purely instrumental version?
  5. That whole clip is absolutely amazing
  6. Where it still remains...apparently the other side is fine
  7. No idea why they'd call it San remo Strings. It's the Detroit Symphony and was procured by Mr. Soussan when he released Bari Track, gave it out on a couple of acetates. Not released until a Goldmine LP late 80's then on a white label as the B side to a pressing of Barbara McNair. Both were pressed slightly too fast.

  9. I've had an issue - I think I've had issues of all the rare Parkways (C Cooper, J Grant, V Baines etc) except for Ben Zine not that I'd buy one anyway

Never too late! I didn't learn til I was 40. Massive regrets now that I didn't learn earlier.

Dave, possibly a silly question but why not drive a car to the venue instead? £60 petrol as opposed to £134 fares.
  13. It's not, it's original, credits on the right are correctly justified

  15. He was WAY ahead of his time with some of those titles, this is well before R&B really took a foothold
  16. He's just using a youtube clip of the Outtasite release, his record is on Parkway
  17. There's two, one blank label with Danny Moore on B side, one proper design with HYMOS on B side. Don't think Richard Domar did them but he was one of the first to sell them.
  18. All Solid Hitbound Productions originals are styrene aren't they?
