  1. Some of them are from those dvd's, some are from the source that those dvd's came from, but about 50% are from my collection so not all of it has been seen by everyone
  2. So you're saying it has no matrix number in the run off??
  3. I got a job lot of 300 or so off that seller last month. They were all there but the conditions of half of them left a lot to be desired.
  4. I'd have to go along with this. In fact I actually married two red headed women. Not at the same time.
  5. I didn't say you were supposed to..
  6. just a clip of the quite evocative intro to this long lost film shot for the BBC. It's never been repeated or released on video or dvd and it had a superb Motown soundtrack.
  7. Pete S replied to a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
    Sell them me then
  8. I'd buy the cd/dvd Simon, the documentary isn't brilliant but it's interesting for the most part, just a bit overlong.
  9. That was a compilation though wasn't it - not all material recorded in 69
  10. This is from a 1976 ITV documentary called Aquarius...it's the only footage I've seen of Roy Shirley, who was one of Jamaica's most soulful singers. I cut the clip short as he starts showboating a bit! Note Rico Rodrigues on trombone.
  11. He couldn't release an LP, he didn't record enough tracks
  12. To be honest Dave, 1968 is far enough forward for me Thats' "northern soul" wise I mean. Ordinary / commercial soul whatever, not bothered about, I just haven't been able to adapt to 70's and beyond sounds being played alongside 60's, and I never will. All those that do like em, good luck to you, but it's just not for me, thats all. Although of course I contradict myself every time by saying I like the 'modern' stuff that used to be played 75-77, but after that, I'm a lost cause. Back to your question, I doubt very much I would enjoy a soul Lp recorded in 1969. I would, however, enjoy a reggae LP recorded in 1969.
  13. B side of the better known Standing In The Need Of Love I think
  14. How could Jack Motngomery have had an LP, he only recorded 4 singles in his life didn't he, on 4 different labels, what, was K-Tel going to put it out??
  15. It's flash photography you dozy twat
  16. That's very kind of you! Stenna Stairlift?
  17. The 70's don't count as far as soul music is concerned
  18. Yes he was known as the ugly one and if you watch this clip you will find out why. Recorded classics such as Fire Corner and Herbsman Shuffle, best of the lot is King Of Kings in my opinion. Anyway, watch this, and be thankful you've got a dentist.
  19. Lou Johnson - recorded an LP but it was never released - I think, supposedly where his version of The Panic Is On comes from
  20. The only stuff I have from there is Ray Pollard, pat lewis, Lorraine Chandler and a bit of Eddie Parker (which is awful!)
  21. Done that for years, it's pretty ropey compared to having a deck you can plug in
  22. Much higher quality version now up so please look again
  23. Replaced the other one with this much improved one - if you saw the first one, it was rubbish
  24. I'm presuming he was the engineer/disc cutter?
