  1. Pink is the original (plus white demo). Blue VJ is the 1975 reissue/bootleg. This one on ebay, I've never seen that before.
  2. Send him one more email telling him you're going to leave negative feedback if he doesn't respond in 24 hours, then do that, and claim your fees back off ebay because then they will be after him as well. If he says he will leave retaliatory negative, just say 'so what' and carry on. Who was it anyway, someone we know? If it was me, I have a valid excuse...
  3. Yeah 5 to 10 quid tops...very big US hit...quite rare on UK Stateside but the issue on Herald is a real cheapie.
  4. I'm Brian and so is my wife!
  5. Well that plus the fact nobody bought their records when they were released 40 years ago, their managers and publishers and labels ripped them off etc...
  6. If you go back a few weeks in sales you'll find one of my lists which has this record for sale on it, someone else asked about the laqbel/copyright etc and I replied I know absolutely bugger all about it, I and many others just buy them in to sell on. But the question may have been answered on that thread.

Soulfood 33 wants a word with you
  8. I've got 5 unplayed copies of But...anyone can have all 5 for £25

Can you not 'ask seller a question' so it shows up on their advert?
  10. These have been out for over a month and were sold as legitimate repressings
  11. Something weird must happen at EMI when you ask for tapes of old stuff...when Rhino put out a Bowie 60's collection, they gave them unissued takes of I Pity The Fool and Take My Tip, never came out anywhere before or since. Also the master of Bobby Goldsboro - Too Many People has apparently long since disappeared so thats why nobody reissued the stomping version and UA put out the alternate take. I always thought he was a folky singer/songwriter...
  12. It might be my new user name...
  13. Loads of those are out on official cd's mate. The Rotations actually came out in a previously unreleased full length version which I'll enclose here (on the CD Northern Side Of Philly Soul)
  14. That Detroit Strings (which actually has no strings on it) isn't a version of OLIITP mate, it's just got passages that sound a lot like it. I've got a Never In A Million Years inst for sale next week but it's got the mighty Don't Turn Your Back On Me by Jack Montgomery on the other side so there's always a demand. I can send you an mp3 of the Bobby Goldsboro if you want it.
  15. Doesn't qualify - US recording Geno is great but Tim Rose is another US recording In fairness to the Merseys - when they were offered the song they thought they were going to be doing the Jerry Butler song of the same name! Elvis Costello's version of I Stand Accused is based on the Merseys one.
  16. The recent ones are all blue issues
  17. Same bloke - he was Alvin Stardusts producer also not to be confused, of course, with the Buzzcocks Pete Shelley
  18. Stop drinking! It was you who wrote Honey Adams!
  19. Yeah different song altogether then mate...that'd be Pete Shelley who was "Life" who did Cats Eyes.
  20. There is a reason for this but it might not make much sense. As you may or may not know, the girlfriend is having a baby, sorry, my baby on monday and I've made a resolution that from that day, I will pack in drinking, smoking and eating meat, so the bacon roll is my last stand, an homage so to speak. Obviously this will only last for about 3 days but you've got to try!
  21. Yes you're right mate, I thinik this is the same song Tony Middleton did on the A side of To The Ends Of The Earth!
  22. Fantastic record.
  23. Vic Flick Sound, I think it's on Chapter One records...I waited years to hear this. I was dissapointed It is Fearns Brass Foundry mate. I've never heard of Pete Law. Don't Make Promises...you sure about this being UK...I've got a record called that and it's an instrumental, sounds a lot like Phil Coulter at the start then goes crazy in the last 3rd. It's on a Canadian label.
  24. Honey Townsend mate, not Adams ... thats the best of all of those insts
