Darrell Banks - Open The Door To Your Heart 2014 London
Original London 45's don't have any indication as to which is side one or side two, and don't have the word Mono on the label.

The Yum Yums Gonna Be A Big Thing Abc Lookalike Please
There's a legal reissue by outtasite which looks like a black stock copy and has Evil One on the other side, better looking than that bootleg anyway. Probably only £5 off the net.

Fancied One Of These Until I Saw The Price
You can get an ultrasonic jewellery cleaner from Aldi for £15. Use it to clean 45's. They don't fit completely, you have to rotate the record manually, but you can see the crap coming out of the grooves.

Can Anyone Identify This Track Please
Sorry this is a terrible quality clip recorded on the internal microphone of the mac, thats because it's from a tv show, our old pal Inspector George Gently again, but not the "Northern Soul" episode, this is from an earlier one but it's a very Northern flavoured track. The clip as I say is very tinny and crap quality but you can easily hear the song, which appears to be called "I can't stop the feeling that I've got for you".. thanks Untitled song.mp3

Pam Kellum "what You See You Can't Get"
John, Alexander was certainly around in the 2000's, he appeared at one of the Soultrip Conventions, I think it was the Los Angeles one. If you look for a guy on here called Kev Roberts he may even be able to tell you of his whereabouts now. Kev's user name is thegolden101 I think.

Urgent Want - Candi Staton
Honestly I've heard this rumour before and it's so disrespectful to the singer and musicians to think they'd be that unprofessional - it's obviously a note from an organ and it happens again a couple of seconds later.

Soundtrack - Northern Soul The Film
Look you all wanted something portraying the scene as it really is or was, and now someone who was / is involved in it is making the film, and with people like Ian above and Paul Sadot involved, this is THE big chance for all past injusticies to be put right, so come on, have a bit of faith in the people behind the film.

Soundtrack - Northern Soul The Film
He was first to play it though, at least give him that. As it's my favourite period, I always remember Russ's spots from 76-77 and I can honestly say, they were not far off Richard's especially for getting the night started. 78 onwards, I agree with other comments

John Manship Auction Results 11 - 6 2014
I don't know the source so I had to buy them when they first came out for £7, Mick I think managed to get about 15 or 20 and he's sold most of them if not all, price went up to £10 then £15, this is only 4 weeks after it's press. Wish I'd kept one. But I have a Columbia test pressing* of it anyway so it doesn't really matter. * which I made myself LOL

The Guardian are almost certainly doing a piece on this on Monday. Bob Stanley's writing it. Asked me if I could put him in touch with Nick.

Some Top Sounds For Sale
PETE SMITH 01902 326306 pete.smith@freeuk.com Some great originals here folks. My EX grade is most people’s M- so buy with confidence. I don’t use a Mint grade, sometimes I will use a Near Mint if it looks unplayed or new. Johnny Gilliam 'Room Full Of Tears' (Cancer) EX 250 SOLD An absolute classic from the Stafford era and beyond, barely played copy Bobby Sheen 'Dr. Love' (Capitol) VG+ 75 First of all, it’s a definite original. Secondly, it looks a bit rough. Dr. Love side has label damage from being stuck to another record by the looks of it. Now the good news. Both sides play great. Trust me. Sandy Wynns 'The Touch Of Venus' (Champion / promo) NM 100 SOLD Beautiful original white demo Otis Clay 'The Only Way Is Up' (Echo) EX 70 Right, like practically every copy, it has a little light noise in one channel, this fades out as the record gets going. Otherwise, near perfect. Emanuel Laskey 'I'd Rather Leave On My Feet' (DT) EX 180 Green label, fantastic copy of this 70’s dancer Claude Huey 'Why Would You Blow It' (Galaxy / DJ) EX 200 Fantastic copy, rarely turns up nowadays Willie Tee 'First Taste Of Hurt' (Gatur / green) NM 200 SOLD This is an unplayed / mint copy, seriously. Funky Funky Twist on B side Sissie Houston 'Don't Come Running To Me' (Kapp / demo) EX 75 Fantastic version, midtempo genius — A side label has some ageing spots, B side pure white Ernest Mosley 'Stuborn Heart' (La-Cindy) NM 40 This is the bootleg but if anyone wants to give me 40 quid for it.. John Bowie 'You're Gonna Miss A Good Thing' (Merben) EX 250 SOLD Classic, beautiful copy too The Charades 'I Don't Want To Lose You' (M-G-M) EX- 75 Rare black stock copy, only downgraded because it has some paper scuff type marks not affecting play. Drill hole in label. Ten times harder than the demo though. Fabulous Downbeats 'Life Goes On' (Poison Ring) EX 50 Brilliant oldie, perfect as a lesser known spin Garland Green 'Girl I Love You' (Revue) EX 100 With It Rained 40 Days And Nights on the flip. Both sides have small scuffs but both sides play like new. Has a name scratched in the run off. Towana & The Total Destruction 'Wear Your Natural, Baby' (Romark) NM 250 SOLD Blue label. Vinyl. Gorgeous. Help Me Get That Feelin’ Back Again on the other side, two for the price of one Shelia Ferguson 'Heartbroken Memories' (Swan) EX 120 SOLD Super uptempo dancer. Few small non sounding marks on vinyl but play grade is above EX. Small sticker mark on label and a small star sticker. Rare but underplayed. And so tough as a stock copy. Shep 'I'm Sitting In' (TNT / DJ) VG+ 70 Both sides have scuffs but not audible — apart from light crackle before record starts. Bit of ring wear to raised part of label but a nice white demo. Fool To Fool 100mph Northern, Sitting In top midtempo. I believe the vocalist is Mr. Sidney Barnes. Or is it Don Gardner. One of them anyway.. Bobby Sheen 'Something New To Do' (Warner Bros / promo) EX 100 SOLD Guaranteed original in lovely shape, still packing the floors, splendid white demo paypal is pete.smith@freeuk.com POSTAGE IS £2.50 FOR FIRST 3 RECORDS IN THE UK (RECORDED) SPECIAL DELIVERY IS RECOMMENDED FOR RARER ITEMS! COST £7.10 OVERSEAS WILL QUOTE BUT IT’S USUALLY £9 EUROPE AND £10 ELSEWHERE FOR REGISTERED POSTAGE. CHEERS PETE
