No I stand corrected, I found the directors letter about it and he states it was for various reasons including personnel (directly above your last post)

Lenny Henry Film
COAST TO COAST Every year we receive hundreds of request for videos of this film starring LENNY HENRY, JOHN SHEA, GEORGE BAKER, and PETE POSTLETHWAITE etc. When we produced it in 1986 we were unable to clear any of the rights for any form of video distribution - actors, writers, musicians, music content, director, writer and crew. It was thought by the different financing elements that it was only a television film and as it would then have cost well over £200,000 to clear it for video release worldwide not to be worth the investment. Due to numerous demands to purchase the video and lately DVD we have tried, on several occasion, to clear these rights retrospectively. This has not happened. Apart from the fact that the costs would now be far greater than those quoted in 1986, many of those concerned have said that they will not give their permission for such a release. These permissions are needed to move forward. Therefore, it is with great regret that we are unable to provide any of you with a film that so many of you fondly remember nearly 20 years after it was first screened.

I have got an Atlantic Records documentary - not sure if it's the one you want, think it's just called The Atlantic Story? I think it's on the same disc as a documentary about Curtis Mayfield

Last time this was mentioned I ended up doing over 30 copies FREE for members and losing money, I think maybe 4 people said thanks anyway I'm not making that mistake again (free I mean). It's never and will never be released officially.

This really does my head in, seller prides themselves on "40 years of selling rare soul" but is unable to tell potential customers that the record they are bidding on is a bootleg. Yes I know people should do their own research but is it really hard to write "2nd issue"? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ambassadors-Too-Much-Of-A-Good-Thing-HUGE-OLDIE-Northern-Soul-Vinyl-45-HEAR-/200970755517?pt=UK_Records&hash=item2ecaca5dbd

Bradford Queens Hall Footage - Help Wanted
From what I can remember, all the tv clips were on two discs, they included every documentary or feature up until 2002 plus that BBC play Our On The Floor, the first dvd is 3 hours and the second dvd maybe one and a half hours which I made up to 3 by putting something else on the end, might have been Ray Pollard at Yarmouth or something like that, then there was a 3rd dvd which had nothing but footage of dancers at 100 club, Leicester and so on. I used to sell them as a package 3 for £20. Nowadays I'd do them 3 for £10.

Tommy & The Derby's.......kool
I had or still have a record on that label, can't remember the artist but the track was called "The Broken Hip", an instrumental probably from around 1964 by the sound of it (by The Moods according to that discography)

Chris I compiled that dvd, in fact it was the first NS dvd anyone ever did. The track you are thinking of is Marion Stewart - I Must Be Losing You.

Rare Northern Soul 45' For Sale ..robby Lawson ( Kysler)
It's always emptied the floor, it never did a lot when it was first played (booted too soon) then when Minshull and Searling tried to revive it in 77 it did empty the floor because it just sounds like a racket when it's played loud. I have a tape with that on and Brice Coefield and both of them emptied the floor, remember it distinctly.

Not in this case it doesn't. Didn't rate it in 75, don't rate it now. Happy if everyone else likes it.
