  1. £75 about 2 years ago...can't remember condition but no less than EX
  2. Another very, very overpriced record on British.
  3. Useless information time, there's a really good UK cover version of "Peace Of Mind" by local (to me) band Zuider Zee which came out on CBS in 66. It's not as good as the MM version but it is well worth a listen. Quite an obscure one.
  4. On two occasions I've had people I invited round (or who asked to come round) steal records from me while I've been there, either making a coffee or one chap said he'd left his bag behind, went back up to my room on his own, when I went up myself the record he'd asked about which I wouldn't sell him had gone. And that's someone currently on the scene, been on the scene for years and years and who still speaks to me thinking I'm oblivious...
  5. I like both of 'em..
  6. I had a bit of email correspondence with this artist a few years back...he's got no records
  7. If anyone is interested in this I will take £500 for it. Genuine reason for sale - I've bought another one and haven't got room for both.
  8. Here is the alternate version, I have to say I have never heard this in my life and it's f*cking excellent
  9. Must have been. October 1972 original issue date.
  10. Oh right sorry, thought you meant using the backing track off Frankie Valli
  11. You sure they didn't fiddle about with the original? Marv Johnson must have been out of contract with Motown when that was recorded
  12. No this might be another version, think he said Frankie Valli starts the song off where he doesn't on all other versions.
  13. Pete S replied to a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
Well the backing track is the original 60's backing that The Holidays used for their version
  14. Someone was saying the other day they have a version where the vocals are different at the start, Australian version maybe?
  15. Misprint - they didn't go as far as that catalogue number.

They probably just got her to sing over the original backing track when she was in the UK, the instrumental came out on Goldmine years ago.
  17. The reality is that a mentally impaired person paid three times what it's worth...John Manship could sell Footsee for £200, why would you use his auctions as a benchmark?
  18. Joe, not that I'm bothered or anything, I'm just fascinated to know how they read them on here if they haven't got pc's
  19. I think you're spot on, I've never sold one for more than that and that's what I'd ask.
  20. Thats what I said above
  21. If you do an Ebay search for seller name Enthucol he has the biggest stock of repress in the UK I think. I definitely got one off him when I sold my original.
  22. Ruled out the two 'Rocks" as still get played a lot on the radio but did think of QOC but then forgot it! I could have sworn I included NYC already, must have forgotten that as well. Was thinking about stuff like "High Wire", "Swing Your Daddy", "Shame Shame Shame", "Tell Me What You Want"...it's disco but not horrible soulless late 70's disco. Also oddballs that were massive massive records but have been binned for being sh*te, I'm thinking of stuff like The Peppers - Pepper Box, that one even had it's own dance
