YOU CAN SEE THE LABEL SCANS AND HEAR SOUND CLIPS OF EVERY ONE OF THESE RECORDS AT https://www.rare-soul.com/wordpress/?category=6'>https://www.rare-soul.com/wordpress/?category=6 POSTAGE IN THE UK IS £2 RECORDED OVERSEAS, SENT REGISTERED AIRMAIL ONLY, SORRY £6.50 FIRST RECORD AND I WILL QUOTE YOU FOR ANY EXTRA OK. 2. I'd advise you to put it on ebay where they pay silly money for it. I sold my last one for £150 (which I think is the right price) but I was very surprised that I couldn't even get £175 for the French EP with the duet version on it.
  3. Derrick Morgan £20, the two others very common, £5 for Ten Commandments and sadly even less for Big Five. The latter must be one of the most repressed records ever, on UK there are at least 6 different pressings, none worth more than the other.
  4. Soul BOwl supplied them all to outlets like Pep's, he sold them for £3 each and we presumed they were represses at the time, in fact I've had people sell me collections with this and John Bowie in and I've had to tell them that they are not pressings and are worth considerably more than the £3 we [aid for them in 77. I bought Mr Searlings copy off him at Wigan incidentally, he must have had a reading problem at the time as on the sleeve he'd written the artist name as The Ringmasters. Of course 2 weeks later, it was everywhere.
  5. That's right T. Weal as in T. Wheel, when I reprinted that in Beatin Rhythm magazine in 1990 and said it was a mock-up, I got a reply from a Mr G. Torch!
  6. Don't know if there are any already out there Mark but you can get an endless stream of scans from ebay.
  7. I think The Poppies "Lullaby of love" is also based around a classical piece?
  8. No I don't think they stopped them, I've got one or two Chess WD's that must be post 66 (Andrea Davis is one), but some of them appear as both WD's and DJ COPY demos I think
  9. I bet I ended up with all of those films!
  10. Terry, I'm afraid the post that you are reading is from March 11th 2010 and I've not got them anymore, sorry
  11. You've probably seen most of it already, this is the third or fourth repeat of the whole lot!
  12. Pete S replied to a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
Hit myself over the head with a mallet for buying such rubbish in the first place... (and then probably left them to it - their mistake, not yours)
  13. I can't find it on that page Mike but what a fantastic site!
  14. About 2 years ago I had the original US publishers 10" acetate of Can't Stop Running Away, complete with music score and lyrics. It was the same as the issued take but at least 20 seconds longer. I think I only sold it for about £30, I should have recorded it, I'd have let the Timi website have it.
  15. Dance to it? It was f*cking hard enough having to listen to it let alone dance to it
  16. Not surprising really Shute, it's the same backing track as the Bobby Treetop record that Gene mentioned above
  17. Cos I'm buggered if I've ever seen one before - had two or three of the West Coast styrene ones, but never seen this vinyl press before. Has the same LG stamp that you find on the likes of Moses Smith on Dionn. Wonder if this makes it more expensive
  18. CARSTAIRS - It really hurts me girl - sound like it was recorded in Hell CHANDLERS - Your Love...has a waltz section half way through
  19. He's not a mod type guy is he - lots of soul and reggae at very high prices? Met a guy like that at one fair, he mentioned he sold on Ebay, I asked him user name and he refused to tell me saying it was a secret

  23. I'm just not quite sure what the Jetstar set up of today has to do with the original Pama "three brothers" set up of 1967 that's all. And baxck to the point of this, which we've gone miles off, The Volumes does not exist on Pama, if it did, we'd have seen one by now and I'm not taking Dave Kil's word for it as a pink elephant was probably holding the record at the time he saw it. No offence Dave
  24. They all did that though - Bunny Lee would walk into Pama, do a deal, then go a mile away to Trojan and do a deal with them for the same product; same record comes out on both trojan and Pama with artists named changed (Pat kelly becomes Little Boy Blue or Boy Wonder, Lester Sterling becomes Mr Versatile, Dennis Alcapone becomes El Paso or B Smith etc etc)
