  1. Thanks Chris but thats the normal design
  2. It lists all the musicians in the comments below the Youtube clip
  3. Jamo Thomas, I agree, it's very rare - I listed one this week, had no interest!
  4. Sorry, was probably me!
  5. Yeah, I had just sprayed it with my magic cleaning fluid, it was soaked!
  6. Have to say I've never come across this label design before, any more like this?
  7. Sorry if already posted, couldn't be bothered going back through ten pages worth
  8. Never seen an issue of this before - usually white demos
  9. I did, it was her who told me.
  10. Regarding the Parkway label design, I like it, but agree with the previous poster who said the typeface was hideous. I also agree with Vaultofsouler about Phil Dick being born again, I liked the old Phil and I really like this new one but that doesn't mean he should be forgiven for being a tw*t in a previous incarnation.
  11. I said a similar thing over the page, I heard it on a Wigan tape a few years back and couldn't place what it was immediately - it sounds even better now than it did then
  12. This is undoubtedly the most boring and up it's own arse thread ever on Soul Source. I have never seen so many sad cases gathered together in one place. Get a life and enjoy yourselves, life's too short to spend time worrying about record labels. Can you imagine what an outsider would make of all this, you can't play a record because it's on the wrong label despite many of your paying customers weanting to hear it.
  13. Well I love Ghost In My House because it was the first Northern record I ever danced to in public! The lp version is much tamer than the single but a lot of that is to do with the stereo mix.
  14. Yes it's terrible and worth about 250 quid. Yvonne Carroll - see the price for that?
  15. Pete S replied to a post in a topic in Record Wants
Can't believe someone wants offers for one of the commonest soul records in the world
  16. Pete S replied to a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
To mark them as deleted stock so that retailers can't sell them at full price
  17. Don't know if anyone has said this but the version of Ghost In My House on the MFP album is totally different to the single - the single starts off with the guitar intro, the album track does not have the guitar intro and begins with the words "Theres a ghost in my house", totally different recording

Some acts who were on while I was there but I didn't necessarily watch them were Martha & The Vandellas, The Marvelettes, Archie Bell & The Drells, Junior Walker (he was fantastic), Linda & The Funky Boys (!!! remember them?), The Chants (at the 3rd anniversary), can't remember any more but there definitely were more - this was the only time I ever went in M's, to keep the buzz going while the live acts were on
  19. Thats a ridiculous price. I always sold this for 75 quid, then it went up to 100, then suddenly I was seeing it at 150, 175, 200 - why? This means next time I'm offered it I'll have to pay 125 to sell at 150. In the real world, this is worth 150.
  20. It's by Bobby Star Grant
  21. Despite being female, Barry St John was actually Chris Rainbow
  22. I can honestly say that I only ever heard One Way Out played as being by Martha & The Vandellas at Wigan
