  1. You're meant to press the page down button to get to the reply
  2. He sells mainly reggae and ska reissues which, to be fair, usually are brand new/old store stock
  3. Me and you don't usually agree on records - except now!
  4. Train Keep Moving - incredible Northern dancer - and easier to find on British Liberty than it is on US Soul City. Which reminds me - I've got one of those on my sales list later this week - considering how hard it is to find I always think it's way too cheap at 25/35 quid. So I'll try 40 this time I think
  5. But apart from that, he's not done much....
  6. You're right, I bought it in 75 or 76 and it had the sticker on despite I'm Your Pimp never being issued as a single. It used to be 8 or 10 quid and there were hundreds about.

Incredible record but surprisingly common - 15/20 usually, 25 max, even on Pameline
  8. Mark, it's good to see you back on Soul Source
  9. Freudian slip there malc?

    Start
  11. When this was massive in 77 I bought one for £5. Another record I bought for £5 at the same time was lenny Curtis. One of them is still worth not more than a fiver, the other is worth more than £500. Funny old world innit
  12. Eno wasn't on keyboards Kev. He never played keyboards live with Bowie. Keyboard player was Sean Mayes (not Roger Powell as it says on wikipedia)
  13. It was June 1978 - he did 2 nights at Stafford and 3 at Earls Court, also 3 at Glasgow Apollo...
  14. Great though - Al De Lory I mean - I don't like Van Morrison at all, totally overrated artist (cue Tony Rounce mentioning David Bowie being rubbish just to annoy me )
  15. Veneitia Wilson - this time I'm loving you The Sterphonics - Don't leave me Cajun Hart - Gotta find a way (minor yate spin) Sebastian Williams - Too much

Thanks for a very honest answer John.
  17. Ian - listen again - it's the same record/song/tune - it's a well known fact. It's not THE backing track, it's an interpretation.

I'd like to know what possible motivation either of the authors had to make all US record sellers aware of true prices and therefore cut off the supply line of rare records to everyone else but themselves. No, I would. It's the most selfish act in the history of record collecting.

Probably Ian, I was just referring to Wigan though in this case
  20. It's still on this thread Reg - somewhere near the start

I think that was 79 Steve. (can now confirm that it was 79)
  22. The backing track of which was re-recorded by Al de Lory as "Right On"
  23. I did put one Mecca tape up on this thread. Nobody commented on it so I haven't done any more

OK well put it this way - if St Ives had it, Wigan would have eventually got it, however long it took - and I went every week in 1978 until september and to the best of my knowledge it was never played, I first heard it played by Sam at the lafayette in wolverhampton after march 79...
