  1. Bloody show off what a collection
  2. Pottsy - there's something amiss here. I was guest dj at the second ever TOS, Jo was the first and she stayed on as a resident, anyway when I did that set I also had hair and I have photos to prove it. When they asked me to do a second set some 3 years later - my hair had gone! Have any other guest dj's at TOS lost their hair after appearing there? If so we may have some compensation coming
  3. Absolutely agree, not one for the purists but a fantastic dance record - sounds just like Harvey - Anyway You Wanta in parts to me
  4. It is but I like this version better, though if there was an instrumental I think I'd go for that
  5. I love this. Sold one on ebay 3 months back for a mate. Wish I'd bought it myself.
  6. These newer arrivals to the scene simply can't do it!
  7. I had one 2 months back, same both sides, sure it was marked as a demo
  8. I'll do 15 for you...
  9. Yeah if anyone wants to copy them and give them to people free of charge that's fine by me. I'm short of loads of them myself - I need 1, 2, 4, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14 if anyone could lend me these to copy or copy them for me I'd be extremely grateful. I've got one spare of issue 6 I could swap and thats all. About 4 years ago I found all of the originals and thinking I'd never need them again I threw them away. It's weird looking back, I started that in 1988, and of course this applies to anyone who did a mag, you had to do all the titles with letraset and cut out all the record labels and stick them in by hand, it was actually quite difficult, when I did issue 16 it's all done by computer and it doesn't half show. In that issue is probably the first article anyone ever wrote about Northern on the internet. The only sites running were: Hannes Rosenhagen Northern Soul Page Yoni's Soul Of The Net The Old Soul Music Home Page (Glyn Williams) Goldmine Soul Supply Nobbys Soul on 45 Solid Hit Soul Night Owl no Soul Source at that point but must have arrived just after...
  10. Bloody hell I've only been logged in 2 minutes, you stalker

Late 60's I think. Mick Smith bought one off Ian Clark about 4 years back for a really daft price, £200 or something, it had the groups contact number on the label and also Miles Graysons I think. I offered him 600 quid but he said no, so it was off to vinyl carvers for me, though he did copy the label for me so it looks pretty good

  19. I've got it but I hadn't contemplated selling it. You can make me an offer if you like, you never know...lovely copy this one

  21. Probably double that on UK Columbia now, I once picked up that and the UK Vibrations album on Columbia out of the same box at Brighton record fair, £35 the two, those were the days..
  22. Really surprised about that Idle Few being from 1969...what with the PJ proby version being from 67. Learn something every day!
  23. No need to be facetious Dave, unless you know of a good source of unlimited copies, there's about one copy up for sale per year.
  24. Think it's by Don Woody on Decca, I've got it on an MCA reissue
  25. I was referring to the people who pay ridiculous prices for records in auctions which they could buy for sometimes up to 100% cheaper if they bought them set sale. And the people who pay £50 for £5 pressings. They're out there somewhere...
