  1. Ok but not as nice as Charmaine Burnett's rocksteady cut.
  2. From a tough album - Salena Jones great version:
  3. Been in touch with the guy at the top who claims to have an acetate of the elusive "Squeal Like a Pig" edit...
  4. Time for a seasonal "Oh no there aren't!" Here are a few more bona fide Frank Wilsons:

How about the instrumental that never was: 'Times Gone By' by Music Track on International Artists. This got a few plays in the days where instrumentals and fast turnover of records were the order of the day. In fact I remember going through Richard Searling's box trying to get him to sell me stuff at knock down prices when he played this and introduced it as "Don't Say A Word" It's actually the instrumental to a song of the same name by the Disciples of Shaftesbury. The Music Track version came out on International Artists on the flip of "Sweet Thang" by Frankie & Johnny, which I recall sounds like sort of country punk. The Texas label is mainly of interest to collectors af 60s garage/psch - as you would expect with artists like 13th Floor Elevators and Red Krayola.
  7. Rockafeller Skank to be nerdishly precise. The Housemartins busked before a gig in Scarborough once. They were headcases but really funny and a great band.
  8. VG+ with some wear - fine for DJing
  9. I think you need to widen your search parameters. You noticed this was listed under doo wop? And you're searching by including 'title and description' aren't you? Otherwise you won't find them if it's a b side that's mentioned in the info on the item but not listed in the title. As for another copy, I've just been advised that I may be jeopardising someone's sale so I should but out here. Good luck though
  10. Well you just missed THIS UK green and white demo for just over £50 mate. Ended seconds ago.
  11. Are you sure there are only two? on ebay? I'd have a closer look - best be sharp though!
  12. What do you consider a sensible price? Would consider selling my copy which is in lovely condition but wouldn't give it away.
  13. So you list a load of originals starting at 9.99 and a few boots starting between three quid and a fiver. A day or so before the end and the bids start coming in... ...almost all on the boots! The remainder have got to go at whatever they reach so there may be some decent bargains here. Northern, 70s, Funk, Mod-Jazz and the odd Popcorn tune. You could do worse than Hit THIS Link and have a look Godz

I think most of the copies in the UK came out of Global in Manchester. Trivia fans might me interested in the fact that the 'New Dog' side was one of the few tunes to get played at W*g*n C*s*n* in Mr Ms before it got played in the main room.
  15. It's Beginning of the End - Come Down Baby - Alston.

The singers are Billy and Barbara Scott. Billy still plays with 'Billy Scott and the Party Prophets'. Barbara passed away in March this year.

Same guy also says: hank you for looking Look like he should invest some of his booty profits in a new ypewriter. Yikes! Mine's doing it now
  20. On a more serious note check this: You have to start at about 1:30 though. I reckon this version would hold it's own at any soul event - regardless of what they look like. Live too, so these guys can definitely play and sing.
  21. Pennies I should think. If you prefers Cilla's you'll probably dig this too...
  22. Yikes - just watched a bit of the video! no idea what half of that stuff is about. It was just a lazy way of putting the tune up. Honest guv! Godz
