Best vever find for me was at a junk shop here in Aberdeen. about 10 years ago Id bought the odd record out of the place as I deal in Rare rock records as well. Anyhow she has this box saying 25p each or £4 the box - I just looked at the first one and gave her the £4 - Yeah she said I thought you might take the box full! Must have been about 50 or 60 records in it First one was the Eden Street skiffle band 10 flexis with the cardboard cover that you inserted them into before putting on the deck - Book price in 2000 -£125 I sold to a dealer for £65 Next one in the box was the "Bread & beer band original 1967 Decca promo again valued at around £150 - Sold to an Elton John collector for £90 Next 3 - Beatles parlaphone demos in mint cond which I got £400 for from a dealer for them The rest were all Pop demos from the 60s and not one of them was soul I sold them through various means for about £250-£300 So for my £4 I got around £800

I got caught with aboot acouple of years ago bec ause It had less than aminute to go on ebay. Actually the paper was very good and convincing but like others say it was the scratched in matrix that gave it away.

Hiroshima was one of the first things I played when I came back to the scene in 99. I was thinking of selling my 45 for £20 as the Lp is so cheap to get but Im glad I didnt now! Bob at Strider records is helpful and his Dad is just a gem of a man with some nice stories. Shakey Bob round the corner at house of oldies is very difficult to deal with unless you flass loads of cash. He has an enormous basement but wont let you down there! Bleeker st records is weird. They have empty racks one week and then full the next. I got nothing whereas Steve Bonden got a Sillouhettes - Not me baby for $1 the month after. I did get some nice Lps there though.

I was the same - I bought it for Brown & beautiful However I have a track record on buying things then selling them without listening to the b-sides (Just ask Dezzie-boy on here!) ITs only because I saw a post that when I got home I pulled it out and played "the Siestas over! "and to be frank - I can see its appeal! Mick you have to be a bit nosey to get the info! You look at the number of bids with the seller : Look at their feedback number, Then look at feedback left by the seller to find the corresponding feedback number and then check the number of bids made by that bidder If they match BINGO!

I didnt say I was unhappy about the price - but if you found out you could have had it cheaper if it werent for the (Alleged_ Shill bidder) it makes you a bit cross. I was asking for an explanation to my question. Spook if you look at the new listings he has Geroge Smith and I think maybe the Significants is listed although Im at work at the moment and cant get access to ebay. If I am right and maybe BOBA will come on and confirm the seller who to be honest I hadnt worked out who it was until BOBA told me(Thats how thick or uninformed I am at times) its quite dishonest if The link between the bidder with 100% activity with the seller infers some not so honest activity.

Mick you can look at the percentage of activity this bidder has had with the seller including the exact number of bids. BOBA has given me enough info - Cheers BOB If it is shill because the Seller is a well known Dealer in the US Then I would be dissapointed

Ive just won a Sunlovers - Ill treat you right on Ebay What worries me is The second highest bidder has a feeback of 8 They have made over 500 bids of which 94% of this is with the seller of the Sunlovers. ( Ithink this is very high with one seller) Any explanations guys

I remember someone coming in a disco(soul night) we had downstairs in the cente of manchester with a box of all thses Uk things (might have been you) and being very jealous! This really is telling us that Boots have some value but this is plain reidiculous! On Ebay yesterday a boot of "Ten Miles High" by David and the Giants went for more than the original on Crazy horse on the same day Sorry I havent posted the links but if you do an Advanced and then complete - you will be able to see! The originl was in US and the boot in the Uk Think the Boot went for £22 and the orginal went for £16 Could someone explain this or are a lot of Ebayers itellectually deprived when it comes to NS. Remember! The two copies were finishing on the same day!
