No other edition for this in the States or elsewhere. Some want to credit the group for Candy & the Kisses. The Flo-man (=Flomar) publishing credit lead that way and composer Lori Burton also. Listen to both sides as even the 'B' side is rather good NY big sound ballad. Condition of sleeve is Ex with some bending here and there and slightest discoloration on top. Record is Ex++. Hard to come along with it's sleeve !!! hopefuls.mp3 was 65 £ now 60 £ FREE POST TO ALL OVER THE WORLD !   4. Yes, you should be right plus now some more digging and it matches since I've found a picture of Mary Jane 1004 (first with the white and blue label design, not fully red on white checked label) and the logo Mary_Jane have the gap(_) like BDYW without Mike Terry Arr. credit. While BDYW with the Mike Terry Arr. credits has no gap on the logo MaryJane as the following numbers on the catalogue;
  5. 'running' not 'there U' right. Me going too fast and now corrected. Cheers 4 dat. I got a copy of this about 1985 (now its gone) in Brussels from an ex-mod who used to buy some northern soul in London but who wouldn't buy "northern soul" records anywhere after 1982 as it was considered "casual" music; like not hip as in "hipster" anymore. So pre-1982 and beyond. I was not around then or before, so can't say more precise. But like the British Green light bootleg label that is rather old, I'd have thought that the La Coupe bootleg label was rather old also. Even if it's more 7T's + orientated music wise and date wise; Bros. guiding, Aristocrats...
  6. The picture was cool, the little story with Sly is brilliant ! Cheers for that
  7. Don't know what year these were printed (mid 7T's I'd have tought) but Erwin Starr 'there you go' b/w the Ones 'you haven't seen my love' on La Coupe (England pressed bootleg) is certainly an early or a first Motown boot made for some folks in England.
  8. That is cool, but is it really the same person ? It could be as well be as it doesn't have to be with such a "common" name combination, I believe you can find more than one Bobby Sansom in the States. I've never seen a demo for it so like you I doubt very much that it does exist.
  9. Cheers for that. All I wanted to know !
  10. Could anyone give me the fare (+/-1 $ margin, don't have to be too precise) to get a normally well packed "signed for/registered" 45 from the USA to the EU ?
  11. Here's a rare little 45 that was featured on the Numero Group #16 Home Schooled: the ABC's of kid soul. It's in vg++ condition due to some marks and scuffs on the vinyl and a sticker residue on 'B' side. It still looks and plays great really. Scans and soundclips from actual record for sale. atons.mp3 was 125 £ now 110 £ FREE POST TO ALL OVER THE WORLD ! 12. !!! SOLD !!! Dig it ! It is now established that 'kiss my love goodbye' is actually her most common Atlantic 45. This little gemm on the deep side IMHO is pure beauty. Today it's the b-side 'when the game is played on you' that seem to command the price and the demand for this hard to find single. Here's a Jamaican issue. Soundclips and scans of actual 45 in Ex+ condition. !!! OPEN TO TRADE ALSO !!! bettye swann.mp3 150 £ FREE POST TO ALL OVER THE WORLD ! 13. With the Nashville stamp it cannot actually be a contemporary bootleg. That is clear. Now that still gives us no clue as to where it can be placed. Only with the fact that it doesn't bare the Palmer matrix like the yellow Pameline (PAM 100) but it is PAM 200 !!! I'd still place this one as last after the Vault like a small run to satisfy some kind of (local) demand or something like that.
  14. Yes, since last week that is. The only mistery is the pink Pameline (PAM 200). If it's an old contemporary boot or not and then as to where chronologically place it.
  15. No, there's no demo to this one. There might be other Vault records who didn't have a demo issue as well. The label is a bit all over the place music wise and in time with gaps to verify that. I've found no discography of the label for instance. But this just made me wonder once again about as to why other labels didn't had at times runs with promos 45 like some Capitol, RCA, Wand... where there specific reasons or was it due because they ran out of promo labels or what ? Does anyone knows ?
  16. You mean it isn't (as on the label) or you mean because it is and not credited ?
  17. Maybe it's done here before, but would anyone know what's the story behind those two label variation of Mary Jane 1005 ? The one edition not featuring the "Mike Terry Arr." also shows slight label variations and even the credit typo for the artists is different. This implies that tey used different/corrected stamps for both the label and credits. Here there is a gap between 'Mary' and 'Jane' and Edward Hamilton and the Arabians are in smaller font plus the typo is another one than on the 'Mike Terry Arr.' copy here below. While this 'Mike Terry Arr.' is clearly showing the same features (logo and fonts) as the following numbers on the label.

  19. That must have been looong ago. Noticed it the first time some 15 years ago or some more, like 20 maybe. I think if I recall right seeing it with the 50£ tag on it.
  20. Shouldn't that go in the 'comedy sale of the day' topic ? Excuse my scenic humor if I offended anyone but I never liked the record. So I'm not gonna regret never getting one when it was still a 50 £ record in the sales boxes.
  21. Hi Eddie, Could you provide me with a scan of the O'Jays ? Cheers, Tim
