  1. He's online and I believe has a FB page now, so it's mostly at arms length.

  3. Yep. We've been looking but it seems that most if not all of the fight itself is available everyone decided to cut Curtis off.
  4. I was asked this by a mate. I can't find one on Curtis sites, You Tube , boxing threads, etc. So over to you guys. October 26th 1970 Curtis Mayfield sang the American National Anthem before the Muhammad Ali vs. Jerry Quarry fight in Atlanta. Does any record of this exist audio or visual? In any form?
  5. Dunno about the CL, but Stickball is still a shows up for a dollar or 5 every now and then over here with pic sleeve and without. I even saw a 1 sided Demo on some yellow label not the usual one. I just looked on discogs seems 9 people want it but there a fairly clean one w pic sleeve for a fiver sat sitting there in sales.
  6. Weskits!!?? My life, I'm lucky I don't live over there otherwise I'd have to have one of each of those.
  7. https://www.zazzle.com/northern_soul_vinyl_on_turntable_bag-149289348775138207 I had the tat filter on and this one made it through so it must be kosher Ye gods does it never end.
  8. Won't argue with you there but I'm sure there's some that would. Orses for courses an all that. Wouldn't mind a translation of "IN ITS LONGER GUTSE" though
  9. EBay is voluntary, sort of. The price of stepping out the front door in NYC is enough to make you scream, and that's mandatory. Probably not much different over there.
  10. Rarely is anything on EBay alright, fair dos, we've been getting gouged longer than you.
  11. Been doing it here for a long time, 2-3 years at least
  12. Define R&B in this particular case, you may have been cured.
  13. https://www.studentbeans.com/worldweirdweb/a/odd+facts/volunteers-help-out-german-postmen598.html Ok, who's going to be the first one to say it.
  14. Got a few but I never saw one quite as big as this. Also in this case and other pretty much private presses, makes you wonder why they bother. Probably pressed 250 / 500 and probably either gave most away to friends or they sat in boxes going nowhere anyway. That's till x years later when they became monsters, or not, as in this case
  15. Follow up on that tracking thing EDelCon. It worked once - to Germany.
  16. No idea if there was any signature or owt required on mine to France & Germany. I did ask but got no reply, so .....................?
  17. USPS is IMO still about the only game in town. UPS FedEx etc are the same tossers in different uniforms, and expensive. 1st class Int is fine but has no tracking to UK. There is the new EDelCon thing from EB but it doesn't Del Con in my experience. 2 parcels France & Germany in last month Both got there but no confirmation. FYI these are the options USPS offers for a 45 to uk.
  18. Another 1/2 hour of my life I'll never get back, I could watch that 1000 times and my nuts still quake at the thought. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2166011/ If you can get to watch this the talent is terrifying. There is also a recent movie about them with all sorts of stuff never seen before, the title escapes me but look out at your local art pit. Edit- Found it The Gods Of Dance: The Nicholas Brothers Movie OK lads, break over - back to the BBC and come out swinging.
  19. Ah, but we do have far more of them to choose from, and the quality of toss is much lower. and our drivelese LCD is far far lower than yours. IMO you're not even in the running.
  20. Quite a credible job in 1/2 an hour. For the uninitiated there's enough stuff easily available if they want more and can be assed to look. So all in all a decent job. Take heart in knowing if the US networks / cable tried it, it would be a total pigs ear featuring god knows what flavour of the month tosser mouthing off from a badly written script.
  21. Well done Nev. One for the good guys then
  22. You would think so wouldn't you. I can edit it but it won't save it , nor print out the label. According to 1 of the 2 Ebaydjits I talked to they can't edit it as he wrote it, but they will contact him. They didn't as far as I know. Also as he has put it in , once he has paid he cannot edit it, also according to Ebay. It was a Chinese LP, going to Hong Kong so no reply from him, I guess he only speaks English enough to not read the details. So I don't really know if he can edit it or not. So far according to tracking it made it to Queens So now you know all I do.
  23. Name & shame, can't hurt. I knew I should never have got involved in this thread. Bad Karma? New to me wrinkle. When the buyer puts in his address he can write a book if he wants. When you go to print out the shipping label it only allows 42 characters /line. After 2 chats with 2 12 year old college jobsworths, giving 2 different answers. You can't edit it, he can't edit it, they can't edit it. It's not their fault, the tooth fairy says the buyer can put in what he wants , we say you can't. We're sorry sir, you'll have to do it all manually and schlep down the PO and pay regular rates , we don't recognise any tracking blahdyblahdyblah So if it happens to you, save your breath and bend over just a little further.
  24. Good news: It must have arrived, he left fabbo feedback. Same old news: According to EB / USPS tracking it's still in transit. Good luck Nev.
  25. That one's easy. Write a 72 page disclaimer about visual/play grading that's in every auction. Full returns or keep it. Have a copy of some lengthy drivel somewhere you can just copy paste "Return it full refund, (then you're blocked) or keep it."
