  1. Re Los Angeles, pm Mike Vague on here, always has some nice records for sale & is an easy fella to deal with. He deals in all types of music. Forget the shops, too hit & miss, you'll just end up spending all day driving mile after mile. Would guess it's pretty hot out there at the moment. Good luck ! Ady.
  2. Thanks for posting that up George, fascinating info ! Ady.
  3. Hi George, Dead wax info : On the "F.T.R.O.M.L" side it just has A-1611. On the "You made me beg" side it has A 1610 then it has SS & what looks like a small dash with 3 small lines crossing it. So not much info in the dead wax I'm affraid. Have you researched the group at all ? Ady
  4. Hi George, Looking at the vinyl on "For the rest of my life" it seems it was pressed at a different pressing plant to other numbers on the label. Mind you I only have 3 others, but they seem to have been pressed over at ARP, where as "F.T.R.O.M.L" seems to have been pressed at more of a local budget type of plant as the vinyl looks to be of poorer quality recycled vinyl. I don't think it was a case of most copies being sent overseas, more likely they just got chucked. But have a dig around in Cleveland, bet there's copies yet to be found, that's where mine came from. Regards, Ady.
  5. Brenda & the Tabulations - That's in the past - Dionn demo, Rodd Keith, Barbara Mason, etc. No reserves. Grab a bargain time ! https://shop.ebay.co.uk/merchant/soulinc123_W0QQ_nkwZQQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZQQ_ipgZ

    huh huh huh
  7. I seem to remember 2 copies of Georgous George & a copy of the Jimmy Church at about the same time. But to put it on this list ?
  8. Melvin Davis on Ke Ke La Wanda William on Ke Ke
  9. Hi Andy, "Give"?....Rob? must admit, being just a vinyl collector & not a dj I'm not really the best home for this copy, only ever played it once, it really should be in someones play box for everyone to enjoy. It's a record I always associate with you Andy, talking of which, isn't it about time you got back behind a pair of decks ? Perhaps in the Stewartby area ? Problem was, when you dj'd records seemed to start flying around the room, seem to remember having to duck once to avoid a low flying Admirations on Peaches ! Ady
  10. So did I.....
  11. For instance was it Amazing Dancing Band "Deep blue train" on Verve? . I was just going through me British, forgot I'd got one of these. Just played it bet they never sold many copies on release It's just that I like Verve sleeves & I need records to put in them.
  12. We had a situation at Stewartby on Sat where one of the guest dj's wouldn't take his wages, said he's not in it for the money, what a nice gesture
  13. My issue's a blue label, never seen a brown one. Going by all the above issue copies looks like there's quite a few around.
  14. What a great show, keep up the good work ! A big thanks to Harry & Diana for the requests Show can be heard here : https://www.therighttrack.org.uk/latest_show.html Regards, Ady
  15. Another weird one, have mentioned it before, Patti & the Lovelites - Love Bandit - Atlantic.
  16. Not a Holy Grail but more of a weird one. Nella Dodds - come see about me - Pye test press. It has a loud raw drum intro, infact the whole record is louder, compared to the actual release. It has a different deadwax number it ends in 1T compared to 1S on the release.
  17. The Billy Prophets a boot.
  18. I have purchased a record from Naoya back in November from his 'security1941' & was extremely pleased with both the item & the very fast service. The grade was spot on. Thanks again Naoya ! Regards, Ady (ebay i.d. soulinc123)
  19. Here's the sellers description : Rare one sided promo Lorraine Silver Lost summer love on PYE promo stamped 20th AUGUST 1965 record is E comes in PYE sleeve
  20. Is it just my eyes, or does the label look like it's been cut out with scissors? Why was the picture of this record so out of focus & all the other ones in focus?
  21. Paris was pressed in November 1964, according to its 55049 delta.
  22. Hi Kev, Don't think that date can be right, I've got the record in my hand at the moment & the deadwax delta number is 58486, would that not put it at late August 1965 ? Regards, Ady
  23. Ending tonight. Looks like someone's going to get a bargain
  24. They do Martin, imagine putting on a 60's night in a small venue like a cellar bar & you want it to look authentic to how it did back then. I think I've just talked myself out of selling them now
