Hi Chris, Sorry to have to say this but it needs to be said mate. A couple of years back I had a hell of a fight to get the records from you that i'd paid for on ebay. With the aid of a middle person, plus putting in a paypal claim I finally managed to get them. I know at that time there were others that were not as lucky as me & never got their records. Back then you had about 8 or ten negative feedbacks. Now I see you have 32 negatives plus another 26 mutually withdrawn negatives, so you had a grand total of 58 negatives ! Why on earth you've not been booted off ebay absolutely staggers me. I take my hat off to you to be honest, you certainly have got some front. So, have you turned over a new leaf ? Lets see. Talking of 78's, I forgot i'd tucked this one away many years ago, only found it again a couple of weeks ago. I'd put it inside a Top of the pops L.P. for safe keeping on top of the wardrobe, nearly chucked it away. It's never been played before, the 78 not the Top of the pops LP, not one single spindle mark on the label, it's mint. Now I wish i'd got more off the fella back then, he had the full set of Suns on both 45 & 78, all mint. Perhaps i'd now better sell it before I lose it again.

Someone got a bargain there ! Just looking at my copy, the reason why the one in the photo looks like it has too many grooves is because there's tidal lines (for want of a better description) between the grooves, mine has them as well. When you put it under the light these look like grooves.

Re Chuck Flamingo. There are two presses of this 45, wow, just got a sense of deja vu then. One's a loud, clear take, the others low volume & muffled. Big, difference between the two. pottsy.

Just had a look in the Soul Harmony book & they have Cenco 1003 down as Lonely is the night / Little darling, that's strange. Looks like the Cenco release must be the 1st one, as the Rayco one is 1965. Listening to it at the moment, 'something fo the books' is ok, but the 'Lonely is the night' is brilliant (if you like slower numbers) plus it has a bit of group backing.

It did come out as "something for the books" chalky, in March 1961 Sorry, not got a double on it at the moment though. Regards, pottsy. ps I'd better have a listen to it, to be honest i've never played it before, it's just that i've collected the label.

My mate, better not say his name, best check first. I was looking at it a few weeks ago, def white demo. What about that fella on hear that broke his white demo copy a couple of years ago, had it sticking up in his record box tripped over it, or something like that, he posted up a photo of it.

The group flip on this is a real pretty tune. Go on Dazz, wack on a sound clip mate
