Hi, That clarifies your question, I can see what your asking now. Just a thought, rather than spending £10 or £20 on a reissue/boot of a classic oldie why not spend the same figure on a genuine first press classic oldie? For example. Last night on here I replaced my hissy worn out copy of the Parliaments 'Don't be sore at me' for a near mint copy for twenty quid. That's a classic floor filling oldie for the price of a boot. There's still plenty of genuine first press titles for that kind of money. BUT, it won't last much longer the way things are going. Imagine if Spyder Turner "I can't make it anymore" was a really rare record it would be four figures, but there's still plenty of them on the market so it's ten or twenty quid, but what a brilliant classic floor filling oldie! Anyway, that's my thoughts on it. Take care Ady

Can you give us a few titles of the re-issues that you have been buying? Are you talking about re-issues of classic oldies? The ones with the look-a-like labels?

I bought a Numark M6 to replace my Technics mixer a couple of years ago, very good value for money. That's what I use at Stewartby. I bought it from Sound & Vision Express (Pete French)

I've edited my earlier post regarding matrix dates. Rick is right, Johnny Hendley is 68962 (I thought the 9 was a 1). So it's November 1967. And as Chalky has just said above, MBCFOONW does exist on a one sided demo as that's what mine is.

When I went to talk to Willie Hutch he wasn't really interested in talking to me at first. But when I then got my copy of the Phonetics "Just a boys dream" out of an envelope he said "What you got there boy?". I handed it to him, he was sat next to another guy that had come over with him. He was genuinely shocked & turned to his friend & said "Look!". Willie said it was the first copy he'd seen since way back when it was released. His face completely changed, it really lit up. Then he started talking. It was so nice to have met the man, a lovely memory.
