Slightly off topic,you mention denise laselle a love reputation,ive just noticed that her version on tarpon is different from the chess release? No girl backing on the chess release! The tarpon release is closer to the “just like the weather” version!

Thats kinda my thoughts,if one is expected to buy the 45 covered up without an opportunity to satisfy ones own research and curiosity,then your gonna be cheesed of if you then discover its a bside to a 5 quid record thats been over looked,or worse you then uncover it and then you see it on ebay every 5 minutes for next to nowt! 😳

I dont want the record in question,and i dont mean to single out rarenorthernsoul.com,ive just pondered this over a many year as to how people go on buying c/ups! It seams to me that once a dj has tired it out then he/she may aswell uncover it and sell it? Let other collectors/djs seek it out?

Im curious,if a potential buyer of a c/u,does he have to sign a secrets act document or something,cos if i was buying a c/u regardless of price i would want to know what it is first so i can do my own research! But then we are in the realms of “loose lips sinks ships” 😂 this tune in question (which is superb) its a lot of money on a (dont know who it is)?

I think it would be almost impossible to replicate that 45,styrene with ink jet label!

Late 80’s at great yarmouth weekender….chuck jackson,ray pollard especially stood out for me amongst the many acts!

I must say ive never been attracted to any of the vocal versions,and if rob Thomas’s version is a couple of hundred quid,i would possibly stretch another hundred maybe for the cwatson version purely cos its rarer,not cos its any better! But all said and done i much prefer the tune as an instrumental (men from macon) and its what a five quid record?

I heard a tune a couple of years back,its a rare 45,midtempo,almost doowop! Sounds like early 60’s and the title is either so blue,or im blue? also i think i heard the group contained arthur conley? ive seen the 45 once,and i doubt there is even a youtube clip! thanks lee

I dont much about the delrays 45 but it seems a lot of money at 1400 quid? am i right in thinking around 600 quid for this? and the cythia and imaginations at nearly 350 quid,again i thought this was a 80 quid tune at best?
