  3. haha..very good!
  4. the northern soul scene was built on quality up beat tunes like this one,its no surprize that they have disapeared into collections since the early 70's,and as for value, this tune is as deserving a decent price tag as any other quality oldies that achieve 300 quid+ on a daily basis, that arent even as rare! i have to say that 100 quid for a stand out tune seems like bugga all these days, mind you i could spend that 100 quid on a bootleg of salvadors..haha
  5. id say is barracuda 45 was his rarest 'dont turn your back on me' and for me his finest, production and vocal on that is outstanding!
  6. great tune,as is 'that driving beat'
  7. that tune is like trying to make a square fit in a round hole, you gonna have to keep hitting that thing to make it fit,but it will never be a easy fit.
  8. also its a right kick in the bollocks record, like j raye philly dog! stormin northern soul!
  9. first copy i had a good 8 year ago was a red issue and paid £40,since then ive had 2 white demos which i regret selling, but the record as slowly but surely risen in demand and value....i rate it as a £300 record in ex, a tad for more for an issue!

  13. just listened to the c/u,it just soinds like a b side on a early 70's stax/atlantic record...not memorable by any stretch!
  14. same seller thinks the headlines-looking for a love is a 600 quid tune,so what does that tell ya! 250 on a very good day! that c/u wants chopping in half...the price i mean..haha
  15. i know it was a while back, but do you recall the bump on the run in?
  16. yeah thats the bugga! damn...wish that was an original! it kills it for me,i know its still a piece of vinyl with a great tune on it,but it misses that all important ingredient...'ORIGINAL'
  17. so is the 70's copy on riverside a boot,or is that maybe a legal press of sorts? ive seen a pic of it,its a pale blue label with black text on vinyl, looks bloody convincing!
  18. i imagine it is because of the bump on the run in,however if the press went tits up,why not sort it out and run some more off, maybe he just didnt have that much faith in it?
  19. very true,my blue issue came via herman and andy rix,i few more have appeared in the last few years, but still a rare item! however i reckon the mercury release is the rarest.
  20. in fact the last couple of tunes ive pursued have turned out to be unreleased on a single...its a right shitter when that happens!
